This is a hands-on role managing co-packers and 3PLs, building systems from scratch, negotiating with vendors, and solving real-world problems daily. You will be responsible for scaling our production capacity 3–4x over the next year while ensuring world-class quality and fulfillment.You will work directly with the CEO and partner with R&amp;D and Sales to ensure every order—whether for Amazon, Target, a local garden center, or farmer—is fulfilled on time, in full, and with exceptional quality. You’ll help turn operations into a strategic advantage, driving efficiency, sustainability, and scalability.Key Responsibilities<ul><li>Co-Packer &amp; 3PL Expansion: Run end-to-end search, vetting, onboarding, and management of new manufacturing and logistics partners to build a scalable, efficient, and regionalized supply chain. Visit existing and prospective sites regularly.</li><li>Inventory Planning: Own forecasting and inventory planning across all channels. Optimize ordering, avoid stockouts/overstocks, and manage working capital.</li><li>Freight &amp; Fulfillment: Through our 3PL partners, ensure 100% in-full, on-time deliveries. Enforce routing guide compliance and troubleshoot shipping issues across DTC, Amazon, Big Box, Grocery, Distributor, Wholesale, and Commercial Ag channels.</li><li>QA Process Management: Collaborate with R&amp;D to implement and own a scalable QA process across all production sites.</li><li>Cost &amp; Margin Optimization: Track and reduce COGS, freight, and storage costs through vendor negotiations and process improvements.</li><li>Accounting Oversight: Manage external accounting agency. Ensure timely, accurate financial reporting, oversee AR/AP, and track cost performance.</li><li>Systems &amp; SOPs: Build scalable tools and processes for inventory, routing, and vendor management.</li><li>Long-Term Supply Chain Vision: Build Rosy’s supply chain into a core strategic advantage. Set the industry benchmark for regionalized biochar supply chains. In the long-term, prepare for international expansion and potential vertical integration.</li></ul>Qualifications<ul><li>3–7 years of experience in operations or supply chain, ideally in a fast-scaling CPG startup.</li><li>Proven experience managing multiple co-packers and 3PLs.</li><li>Strong cost management, vendor negotiation, and logistics skills.</li><li>Highly organized, detail-oriented, and scrappy; comfortable building systems from scratch.</li><li>Excellent spreadsheet skills; comfortable with tools like Google Sheets, Shopify, Shiphero, and HubSpot.</li><li>Willingness to travel regularly to visit partners and vendors.</li><li>Excited about sustainability and transforming how consumer products are made and delivered.</li></ul>Benefits<ul><li>Competitive salary ($70,000 - $90,000)</li><li>Health, Vision, and Dental insurance</li><li>Paid time off and generous holiday policy</li><li>401(k) plan</li><li>Equity grants for long-term ownership</li><li>Opportunity to join a high-growth climate startup at the ground floor</li></ul>
