Our platform underpins a growing suite of applications and services and has rapidly emerged as a category leader in environmental sustainability.</p><hr><h2><strong>The Role</strong></h2><p>This is an exciting opportunity for a technically capable Sustainability Data Analyst to join our research team. The role will suit someone with strong analytical skills, solid data processing capabilities, and a passion for sustainability. You will help build scalable emissions calculation infrastructure, streamline data pipelines, and contribute to product features that support real-world decarbonisation.</p><p>You’ll work cross-functionally across the product, customer, and data teams, building robust and repeatable systems that integrate sustainability knowledge with engineering rigour.</p><hr><h2>Role Responsibilities</h2><ul><li>Lead and deliver complex data analytics and ETL projects with minimal oversight (e.g. emission factor ingestion pipelines and emissions model development).</li><li>Design, test, and implement scalable emissions calculation methods in line with GHG Protocol and other relevant standards.</li><li>Troubleshoot and resolve ETL pipeline issues proactively, collaborating with product engineering teams where needed.</li><li>Apply scripting languages (e.g., Python, SQL) to clean, transform, and analyse data at scale.</li><li>Collaborate with Customer Success and Footprinting Services to gather requirements and improve project delivery.</li><li>Communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders, acting as a trusted partner across departments.</li><li>Identify areas for process and product improvement and help implement them.</li><li>Lead internal training or knowledge-sharing sessions on sustainability topics.</li></ul><hr><h2><strong>About You</strong></h2><p>The successful candidate will have experience in:</p><ul><li>Strong data processing &amp; analysis skills: proficiency in Python and/or SQL, and confident working with data pipelines</li><li>Demonstrated project ownership and delivery</li><li>Strong attention to detail with a track record of spotting and resolving data issues</li><li>Excellent communication skills, including the ability to distil complex topics to non-experts</li></ul><h3>Nice-to-Haves:</h3><ul><li>Background in environmental science and sustainability.</li><li>Experience with emissions calculations or LCA approaches.</li><li>Familiarity with LCA software (SimaPro, openLCA, etc.)</li></ul><hr><h3>About us</h3><p><strong>Remuneration and rewards package:</strong></p><p>Remuneration will be determined depending on experience, but we offer competitive salaries and a comprehensive benefits package to all our team.</p><p><strong>Our benefits include:</strong></p><ul><li>A supportive culture to help you learn and develop into a better version of yourself, including a learning &amp; development budget and policy.</li><li>Competitive compensation package</li><li>Uncapped holiday policy.</li><li>Flexible working, remote-first environment</li><li>Events to spend time together as a team</li><li>Working in a diverse, feedback-driven organisation, decentralised decision-making enabling everyone to weigh in, offering lots of freedom, impact, as well as responsibility.</li></ul><p><strong>At Altruistiq we believe a diverse team is a better team.</strong></p><p>We welcome you to apply, and if there are accommodations that can be made to make the application and interview process more accessible for you please just get in touch.
