SNV Rwanda is recruiting a Production Officer for its program focused on youth employment within agricultural value chains. The Youth Entrepreneurship in Agriculture – Rwanda (YEA-R) program aims to increase resilience and quality of life for young women, men and persons with disabilities through dignified, fulfilling, and equitable work opportunities.The Production Officers will work closely with the Deputy Program manager in the implementation of a youth empowerment and employability program within the crop production and horticulture value chains across designated districts in Rwanda.Key job responsibilities<ul><li>Deliver technical training and field-based mentoring in improved horticulture and crop production practices.</li><li>Conduct regular field visits to monitor, coach, and assist women and youth entrepreneurs to start and operate small scale agri-businesses in target agricultural value chains.</li><li>Promote climate-smart agriculture and sustainable production technologies.</li><li>Monitor farms to ensure adherence to Good Agricultural Practices (GAP).</li><li>Collect and analyse data on yields, input usage, and animal health performance.</li><li>Identify production bottlenecks and provide practical solutions to improve output and product quality. </li><li>Conduct regular field visits to monitor, coach, and assist women and youth entrepreneurs to start and operate small scale agri-businesses in target agricultural value chains. </li><li>Perform any other duties related to the program as needed.  </li></ul>
