With over 14,000 employees in 38 countries, the company is growing and looking to recruit diverse talent now.Accountabilities<ul><li>Act as the primary interface to assigned customer accounts, representing the company with integrity and professionalism.</li><li>Achieve the sales targets assigned, for products and systems, in alignment with the organization commercial strategy.</li><li>Lead prioritization of opportunities within the assigned area/customer base and presentation of opportunities for senior leadership’s Go/No Go decision.</li><li>Lead the set-up of partnerships/consortiums/JV to pursue sales opportunities.</li><li>Lead discussions with clients and partner addressing win to win solutions.</li><li>Lead presentation of proposal for final senior leadership’s bid approval.</li><li>Lead preparation and submission of responses to Requests for Information, Market Soundings, Requests for Qualification, and Requests for Proposal from Customers, by interacting with other departments in the organization (Bidding, Engineering, Product Management, Legal, Finance, Project Management, Constructions, Supply Chain, and Procurement).</li><li>Manage contract negotiations according to delegated authority.</li><li>Support project teams within the assigned area/customer base with market intelligence information and strategic guidance for commercial matters.</li><li>Lead the definition of the Line of Business short/medium term strategic plan and the annual sales budget/targets for the assigned area/customer base.</li><li>Support the Region leadership in the definition of the Line of Business short/medium term strategic plan and the annual sales budget/targets for the North America region.</li><li>Contribute to the identification and assessment of market trends, business opportunities, customer needs and orientations, competitor positioning, and potential strategic partnerships.</li><li>Timely update the CRM database and opportunity pipelines.</li><li>Actively participate in Sales Team meetings and workshops, ensuring the sharing of information and lessons learned.</li><li>Manage product sales to include; customer familiarization, pricing, contracts, factory alignment, follow-up, and general engineering coordination. </li><li>Work with R&amp;D and Engineering to assure Customer and Market requirements are incorporated into current and future offerings.</li></ul>Required Skills/Knowledge<ul><li>Experience with Mass Transit rail industry in the United States and Canada.</li><li>5+ years of experience in Sales, Business Development or Bidding position, or a special combination of education and experience and/or demonstrated accomplishments.</li><li>Experience in business operations and/or commercial activities, such as negotiation and contracting skills in a B2B context.</li><li>Technical aptitude and the ability to learn technical matters.</li><li>Planning and Organizational skills to plan and execute a customer account strategy.</li><li>Data mining and analysis skills to analyze customer and industry data.</li><li>Public speaking capabilities and strong communicator skills.</li><li>Good Office Suites knowledge (mostly Outlook, PowerPoint, Word and Excel)</li><li>Strategic and global mindset.</li><li>Strong leadership, ability to coach and guide colleagues and team members.</li><li>High proactivity.</li></ul>Desired Skills/Knowledge<ul><li>Technical knowledge in emerging fields of big data &amp; analytics, cybersecurity, and software development</li><li>Direct experience with any of the following areas:<ul><li>Large infrastructure capital projects</li><li>Public-Private Partnership (PPP) projects</li><li>Progressive Design-Build</li><li>Rail vehicle Sales</li><li>Rail Signaling Sales</li><li>Digital solutions for passenger transportation, asset management, and maintenance</li><li>Freight railroads in North America</li></ul></li><li>Strategy</li></ul>Education:Bachelor’s DegreeMBA, Executive MBA, Leadership Program certificates are a plus.Language:English ProficiencyKnowledge of either Spanish or French is a plusBenefits: Hitachi Rail employees enjoy a comprehensive benefits package including Competitive Pay, Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance, Short &amp; Long Term Disability, Life &amp; Accident Insurance, Flexible Spending Accounts, a Retirement Savings Plan, and Paid Vacation.
