This app pod focuses on creating an intuitive platform that allows customers to collaborate within and across organizations.About the RoleWe are looking for a well-rounded Software Quality Engineer to take ownership of product feature quality, covering everything from testing strategy and manual test plan implementation to automation and status updates. Your role will include advocating for our customers to ensure high-quality, user-friendly, and functional products.In this position, you will supply your expertise in testing, automation, attention to detail, customer empathy, and leadership to the team and the broader Aurora Solar organization.Your Impact<ul style=""><li>Drive quality solutions and actively mitigate risks for both existing software and new features, serving as a pivotal member of a fully remote global team.</li><li>Collaborate and extend your knowledge in an environment that promotes creativity and autonomy.</li><li>As a quality assurance engineer, collaborate with your team on user stories and epics from ideation, through implementation to delivery to ensure a high-quality, well-tested, and maintainable product.</li><li>Perform manual testing of web applications and contribute to the development and implementation of automated testing frameworks.</li><li>Manage the implementation and execution of test plans, monitoring progress, identifying bugs and impediments, and making informed trade-offs while providing timely updates.</li><li>Analyze and triage production issues and communicate with all stakeholders accordingly.</li><li>Regularly communicate release statuses with all stakeholders.</li></ul>What You Bring:<ul style=""><li>4+ years of increasing responsibility and impact on manual testing, test strategy, creating test cases, test scenarios, defect management, and risk mitigation.</li><li>2+ years partnering with quality and engineering peers and leaders to drive improvements across engineering.</li><li>2+ years of automation experience (Playwright or Cypress preferred).</li><li>Proficiency with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Git.</li><li>Strong ability to context switch between manual and automated testing providing a stable blend of traditional, hands-on testing methods and the use of automated testing tools and frameworks.</li><li>Expertise in multiple testing methods such as clear box and backend testing.</li><li>Proficiency with issue tracking and test case management tools like Jira and Zephyr.</li><li>Proactive in anticipating issues or blockers and translating them into solutions.</li><li>Strong ability to identify and explain the root cause of bugs and thoroughly document them.</li><li>Proficient in identifying quality gaps, communicating solutions to leadership, gaining buy-in, and implementing those solutions while measuring impact.</li><li>Experience with SaaS applications and agile methodologies.</li><li>Passion for renewable energy and sustainability.</li><li>Language Requirement: Proficient in both written and spoken English.
