AECOM has a position available for Senior Construction Safety Professionals in Reno, NV or Herndon, VA.. In this role, the person will be working at a client’s site full-time and act as an owner's representative at a large data center campus construction site. As the owner's representative and along with the construction general contractor, this person will review and collaborate on their safety programs to promote a culture of safety across the sites. The responsibilities of this role include, but may not be limited to, the following: <ul><li>Monitor and advise on client’s EHS culture and support implementation of EHS procedures and regulatory requirements at the site.  </li><li>Independently develops, implements, and maintains safety and health programs, systems, and procedures.  </li><li>Under minimal direction supervises personnel engaged in the ES&amp;H functions within the company or on the same project.  </li><li>Monitors and prevents hazards and diseases in the work area.  </li><li>Supervises personnel engaged in monitoring and preventing hazards and diseases that could be present throughout the work sites.  </li><li>Work with and advise the contractor in identification and implementation of corrective actions for identified deficiencies or issues. </li><li>Review and advise on the Contractor Environmental Health and Safety Plan (CEHSP) for conformance with client requirements and local regulations. </li><li>Serves in a liaison capacity with the resident contract agency representative and other various agencies engaged in promoting environmental, safety, and health activities.  </li><li>Interface and support the construction management team at site by delivering current, accurate and timely data on Contractor EHS performance, including Leading and Lagging Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s), trends, incident management, environmental monitoring/responsibilities', EHS metrics and other key information that enable the construction management to make informed timely decisions.   </li><li>Represent client’s Construction EHS Team by participating/attending essential meetings not limited to general contractor’s (GC) all hands, Stand Downs, Orientations, Safety Committee, EHS Leads, Activity Briefing, Coordination Meeting etc.  </li><li>Drafts all necessary reports to Federal, State, and local agencies, as well as client stakeholders. </li><li>Keeps informed of all existing and proposed changes in occupational health and safety regulations. Assists in the development and conducts basic ES&amp;H training to employees.  </li><li>Communicate all incidents to local and area leadership. </li><li>Communicates programs to enhance employee awareness of prevention and compliance.  </li><li>May administer an ES&amp;H program on a large, specialized, complex project or multiple projects. </li><li>Independently determines and develops approaches to solutions.  </li><li>Ensure adequate site safety walks are conducted as needed with the Contractor management representative.  </li><li>Evaluate the completeness and effectiveness of the Contractor’s hazard assessments (RAMS, JHAs, ARTs, PTPs, etc. and communicate any opportunities for improvement.  </li><li>Create, validate, and communicate lessons learned via Significant Events (SE) and Significant Potential Events (SPE) with trade partners. </li><li>Advise client, GC, and Trade Partners on applicable client’s EHS requirements and Contractual Exhibits ensuring they are conformed to. </li><li>Recommends improvements in processes, design, procedures, and operating equipment to minimize hazards.  </li><li>Establish a collaborative relationship with the client’s Operation team to facilitate the management of EHS aspect of Construction activities. </li><li>Attend and facilitate client specific training, campaigns and initiatives as requested. </li><li>Prepare and provide construction health and safety training as requested. </li><li>May act as a lead role for a team of ES&amp;H specialists and/or support personnel.   </li><li>Support global construction EHS team in developing, reviewing, and executing global programs and initiatives. </li><li>Assist with localization of global programs such as translation and transculturation as needed. </li><li>Conduct topic specific focused field audit, document verification and personal interviews as needed. </li><li>A minimum of 60% of working hours shall be in the field engaging, coaching, walking. </li><li>May need to travel to multiple project locations, as needed.  </li><li>Provides technical leadership and functional guidance to ensure regulatory standards are being enforced.  </li><li>Ensures that quality control procedures are executed to monitor all aspects of regulations.  </li><li>Investigates accidents, injuries, and complaints concerning hazards in the workplace.  </li></ul>
