AECOM is seeking Safety, Health &amp; Environmental Officer II for an onsite role based in Bloomfield, New Jersey.The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:<ul><li>Implementing the requirements of AECOM’s Construction Manager’s (CM) EHS Management Plan (EHSMP) and Environmental Health and Safety Plan (EHASP)</li><li>Support the CM in preparation of Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs) in accordance with Client standards</li><li>Support the CM in conducting various training for CM staff including new employee orientations, visitor orientations and Emergency Action Plan training</li><li>Review all EHS related submittals by the Construction Contractor, including, but not limited to, EHASPs, JHAs, monthly reports, asbestos/lead/mercury/PCB management and sampling plans, waste management plans, hazardous waste contingency plans, erosion and sediment control plans, LOTO plans, and stormwater pollution prevent plans to ensure comprehensive oversight of all site activities</li><li>Direct the Construction Contractor to prepare JHAs following the Client’s JHA EHS Standards</li><li>Facilitate monthly EHS meetings with the Construction Contractor’s EHS representative ("EHSR"), and other project management personnel as appropriate, to ascertain and discuss upcoming construction activity and EHS-related activities for the site to monitor that the contractor is adequately identifying and addressing the EHS risks and hazards of the work</li><li>Conduct frequent construction site visits</li><li>Track and monitor the Contractor’s compliance with EHASP(s) and JHA(s)</li><li>Track and monitor all site EHSRs’ performance including, but not limited to, reviewing the EHSR’s daily reports and whether EHS issues are being adequately addressed</li><li>Perform and submit daily reports of the Contractors’ Work areas and document non-compliance with the Contractor’s EHASPs and JHAs</li><li>Review Contractor’s incident reports for adequacy, participate in meetings related to construction related incidents, and verify all necessary Contractor corrective actions are implemented</li><li>Submit EHS monthly status reports and metrics. Prepare monthly trending analysis of Contractor EHS performance</li><li>Oversee Emergency Action Plans (EAPs) and drills for the site in coordination with Client staff</li><li>Review and manage all EHS Annual Reports (i.e., EPCRA, Hazardous Waste, Confined Space)</li><li>Provide certified petroleum bulk storage ("PBS") and chemical bulk storage ("CBS") tank operators in compliance with the most recent New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection’s regulations, as applicable, if tank systems must be operated during start-up</li></ul>
