POSITION SUMMARY:  The Payroll Analyst II is a mid-level position responsible for performing advanced analysis, reporting, and compliance tasks related to prevailing wage projects. This role involves ensuring adherence to federal, state, and local wage laws, preparing complex certified payroll reports, and providing support and expertise to the payroll team.PRINCIPLE RESPONSIBILITIES: <ul><li>Perform in-depth analysis and processing of payroll for prevailing wage projects, ensuring accuracy and compliance with all applicable regulations. Reconcile payroll data, including hours worked, pay rates, and deductions, addressing any discrepancies or issues.</li><li>Prepare, review, and submit complex certified payroll reports in accordance with federal, state, and local regulations. Ensure compliance with prevailing wage laws by interpreting and applying relevant regulations to payroll data and processes.</li><li>Maintain comprehensive and organized records of prevailing wage and payroll documentation, ensuring completeness and accuracy. Manage and update documentation to facilitate audits, inspections, and internal reviews.</li><li>Oversee data entry and verification processes, ensuring that payroll and prevailing wage information is accurate and up to date. Collaborate with project managers and subcontractors to gather and verify payroll data.</li><li>Provide expertise and support to the payroll team, including resolving complex payroll issues and answering inquiries related to prevailing wage compliance. Assist in coordinating and implementing best practices for payroll processing and compliance.</li><li>Develop and deliver training materials and sessions on prevailing wage laws and payroll practices for team members. Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with changes in wage laws and payroll regulations.</li><li>Generate and analyze reports related to payroll, compliance, and team performance. Provide actionable insights and recommendations for improving payroll processes and addressing compliance issues.</li><li>Ensure that fringe benefits are properly calculated, allocated, and reported as required under prevailing wage laws.
