The Energy Division at Cadmus provides advanced analytic and strategic consulting services to energy companies, utilities, governments, and non-profit organizations. They will support projects from start to finish, including conducting quantitative analysis, collaborating across project teams, and contributing to written reports and presentations. For more information, visit www.cadmusgroup.com. <h2>Responsibilities</h2>Characterize energy efficiency and demand response impacts on a per home or building basis, coordinate meetings with a wide variety of clean-energy stakeholders, write-up research findings for published and un-published papers, develop innovative approaches to solving clean energy challenges, conduct secondary research about emerging energy storage systems, or present your work to external or internal parties. Planning and Assessment Research <ul> <li>Conduct research and analysis related to demand-side potential assessments and integrated resource planning across a range of technologies including energy efficiency (e.g., efficient HVAC, water heating, lighting, and plug load equipment), building electrification, demand response, EVs, solar, battery storage, combined heat and power, and emerging technologies</li> <li>Lead or provide subject matter input to inform data analytics and modeling</li> <li>Build or run models and analysis to assess demand side management potentials and integrated resource planning at all levels and across a range of technologies and program interventions</li> <li>Provide technical support in policy, economic, and technical exchanges with clients, project stakeholders, internal staff, and other decision-makers</li> <li>Synthesize research findings and analysis outcomes to derive insights relevant to client objectives</li> <li>Develop detailed reports and presentations, clearly articulating findings, methodologies, and data sources, and actionable recommendations</li></ul>Project Task Management<ul> <li>Provide active task leadership including ensuring all deliverables meet Cadmus standards and exceed client expectations</li> <li>Lead or oversee essential task management activities including budget tracking, task planning, and team collaboration</li> <li>Work closely and actively communicate with project manager, other team members, and clients to accomplish project goals; provide clear and consistent communications on tasks and raise any concerns or issues before they become problems, provide and receive constructive feedback, and manage expectations</li> <li>Communicate with support teams, including accounting, accounts payable, contracts, and operations regarding the health and status of all projects and tasks</li> <li>Communicate clearly and professionally with colleagues and clients, in varying time zones</li></ul>Business Development<ul> <li>Support the development and execution of business development activities, including proposals</li> <li>Nurture and build existing client relationships as a task lead</li> <li>Build Cadmus reputation through conference presentations and papers</li></ul><h2>Qualifications</h2><ul> <li>Bachelor’s degree in a relevant area of study such as mechanical or environmental engineering, economics, statistics, mathematics, environmental studies, or other quantitative social science</li> <li>At least 5 years of experience managing or leading research or planning projects that include both qualitative and quantitative techniques</li> <li>Direct experience working on or supporting demand-side management potential studies</li> <li>Industry experience in utilities, energy efficiency, energy efficiency program planning, and/or resource planning</li> <li>Demonstrated ability and experience managing multiple tasks</li> <li>Demonstrated understanding of concepts related to energy efficiency, DR, solar, battery storage, electrification, and distributed energy resource potential studies</li> <li>Experience in data analysis and interpretation</li> <li>Experience with task planning and budget tracking</li> <li>Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to communicate complicated issues to both technical and non-technical audiences</li> <li>Intermediate to advanced experience with Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint</li></ul>Preferred Qualifications<ul> <li>Master of Arts or Science in a relevant area of study such as mechanical or environmental engineering, economics, statistics, mathematics, environmental studies, or other quantitative social science</li> <li>Prior experience managing, evaluating, or modeling demand response programs</li> <li>Prior consulting experience working independently to make decisions</li> <li>Experience with staff management and development</li> <li>Business development experience</li> <li>Intermediate to advanced skills with R and/or Python</li></ul>Additional Information: Candidates must be eligible to work in the United States as a U.S Perm Resident or U.S. Citizen. Based on eligibility and job status, Cadmus offers an excellent benefits package to include: medical, dental, vision, company paid disability and life insurance, 401(k) program, paid time off (PTO), paid holidays, voluntary time off (VTO), tuition reimbursement, adoption assistance program, other optional benefits and various bonus programs. The minimum starting salary for this position is $70,000.
