The position is permanent and the preferred location for the position is in Kampen, The Netherlands. As Quality Inspector, your work will focus on these responsibilities:   <ul><li style="font-family:verdana , geneva , sans-serif;">Perform quality analysis at supplier premises.</li><li style="font-family:verdana , geneva , sans-serif;">Witness production/inspection processes from supplier.</li><li style="font-family:verdana , geneva , sans-serif;">Collect measurement/quality data into the Quality Data Management System.</li><li style="font-family:verdana , geneva , sans-serif;">Participate in development of local methods and vendor procedures to improve product quality.</li><li style="font-family:verdana , geneva , sans-serif;">Check that defined corrective and preventive actions are implemented in operations and procedures.</li><li style="font-family:verdana , geneva , sans-serif;">Provide impulses for the vendor’s needs of new tools, equipment, or procedures.</li><li style="font-family:verdana , geneva , sans-serif;">Provide impulses for the improvement of drawings and/or specifications.</li><li style="font-family:verdana , geneva , sans-serif;">Develop own competences.</li><li style="font-family:verdana , geneva , sans-serif;">Perform visual inspection if not Wärtsilä design in some cases, other inspections according to standard.</li><li style="font-family:verdana , geneva , sans-serif;">Identify, report, and escalate issues of quality/safety regarding materials, equipment, or facilities at vendor premises.</li><li style="font-family:verdana , geneva , sans-serif;">Stop purchasing process in case of severe quality issues.</li></ul>  To be successful in this role, we expect you to have/be:   <ul><li style="font-family:verdana , geneva , sans-serif;">Technical degree (Engineering) or equivalent through experience in Quality Inspection methods.</li><li style="font-family:verdana , geneva , sans-serif;">Ability to understand suppliers’ production methods.</li><li style="font-family:verdana , geneva , sans-serif;">Decisive.</li><li style="font-family:verdana , geneva , sans-serif;">Result oriented, with problem-solving capacities.</li><li style="font-family:verdana , geneva , sans-serif;">Service-minded, business and customer focused.</li><li style="font-family:verdana , geneva , sans-serif;">Wärtsilä product knowledge.</li><li style="font-family:verdana , geneva , sans-serif;">Team player, willingness to travel on a weekly basis.</li><li style="font-family:verdana , geneva , sans-serif;">Technical English.</li><li style="font-family:verdana , geneva , sans-serif;">Situational and cultural understanding.</li><li style="font-family:verdana , geneva , sans-serif;">Good product knowledge.</li><li style="font-family:verdana , geneva , sans-serif;">Good technical knowledge.</li><li style="font-family:verdana , geneva , sans-serif;">Good communication skills.</li><li style="font-family:verdana , geneva , sans-serif;">5–10 years of experience in a similar environment.</li></ul> Why you and us  We at Wärtsilä believe in empowerment, ownership and taking responsibility of our work.
