In this role, you’ll be hands-on in commissioning, quality assurance inspections, and repairs while representing CSS to clients and contractors. If you thrive in the field, enjoy solving complex technical challenges, and want to make a direct impact on renewable energy projects, this role is for you. What You'll Do:<ul><li>Perform in-field support of special projects jobs including commissioning, quality assurance inspections, and single scope work, as directed  </li></ul><ul><li>Provide regular and routine updates to Senior Commissioning Technician and Project Manager </li></ul><ul><li>Guide EPC and other 3rd party contractors   </li></ul><ul><li>Accomplish in-field corrective repairs or preventative maintenance work, as directed  </li></ul><ul><li>Complete and provide Field Service Reports in a timely manner for delivery to client </li></ul><ul><li>Document all maintenance actions accurately in the CMMS  </li></ul><ul><li>Provide on-the-job training to less experienced field staff  </li></ul><ul><li>Weekend work and travel required, as work dictates   </li></ul><ul><li>Be a leader in safe and proper work practices  </li></ul><ul><li>Ensure a premium level of customer service </li></ul>   What We're Looking For:<ul><li>Safety-first mindset: Prioritizes safety daily and be able to lead site safety meetings, analyze job hazards, and provide prompt resolution  </li></ul><ul><li>Technical expertise: <ul><li>Working knowledge and experience operating under OSHA 1910.269, NFPA 70E, and 70B  </li></ul></li></ul><ul><li><ul><li>Proficiency reading technical specification documents, site plans, &amp; electrical schematics  </li></ul></li></ul><ul><li><ul><li>Comfort working up to 1,500 VDC, 600Vac, and operating MV switchgear (GOAB, Transformer switching, Recloser operation)  </li></ul></li></ul><ul><li>Problem solver: Ability to complete tasks with minimal oversight  </li></ul><ul><li>Great communicator: Clear verbal and written communication skills  </li></ul><ul><li>Tech-savvy: General computer, network, and technology proficiency  </li></ul><ul><li>Team player and leader:<ul><li>Assertive enough to give direction and humble enough to take direction  </li></ul></li></ul><ul><li><ul><li>Value staff development and organizational excellence  </li></ul></li></ul>  Minimum Qualifications: <ul><li>Valid driver’s license with satisfactory driving record in order to operate a company vehicle   </li></ul><ul><li>1+ year field experience in utility solar PV </li></ul><ul><li>Commissioning or maintenance experience  </li></ul>  Preferred Qualifications: <ul><li>OEM certified training on one or more inverter systems </li></ul>  Physical Demands: <ul><li>Ability to lift and carry up to 30 pounds frequently </li></ul><ul><li>Ability to work at high heights with the use of a safety harness </li></ul> Work Environment: <ul><li>~90% of time spent in-field at utility scale solar facilities </li></ul><ul><li>Exposure to weather, extreme heat or cold </li></ul><ul><li>Exposure to native plants and, occasionally, animals </li></ul><ul><li>Exposure to electrical hazards </li></ul> The above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by individuals assigned to this job.
