Our team prides itself on operational excellence, innovation, and a relentless focus on quality.<hr><h3>Position Overview</h3>The Permitting – Project Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the permitting process for residential solar projects across multiple states. This role ensures that all required municipal, utility, and state approvals are obtained on time, accurately, and in compliance with jurisdiction-specific requirements. The Permitting – Project Manager will lead a team of permitting specialists, manage relationships with AHJs (Authorities Having Jurisdiction), and work closely with sales, design, engineering, and installation teams to maintain project timelines.<hr><h3>Key Responsibilities</h3>Permitting Management<ul><li>Oversee the end-to-end permitting process for residential solar projects in multiple jurisdictions.</li><li>Maintain and update a detailed permitting requirements database for each service area.</li><li>Ensure permit applications are complete, accurate, and submitted in a timely manner.</li></ul>Team Leadership &amp; Development<ul><li>Manage a team of permitting coordinators and specialists.</li><li>Train staff on jurisdictional requirements and best practices.</li><li>Monitor workload distribution and performance metrics to ensure efficiency.</li></ul>Cross-Departmental Coordination<ul><li>Collaborate with sales, design, and engineering teams to ensure projects meet permitting requirements before submission.</li><li>Work closely with installation and project management teams to ensure permits are received in time for scheduled installs.</li></ul>Compliance &amp; Quality Control<ul><li>Stay current on changes in codes, permitting processes, and solar regulations across all operational states.</li><li>Audit submitted permit packages for accuracy and compliance.</li><li>Implement process improvements to reduce permit turnaround times.</li></ul>Stakeholder Communication<ul><li>Serve as primary point of contact for permitting-related inquiries from internal teams, customers, and AHJs.</li><li>Build and maintain strong working relationships with permitting offices to streamline processing.<hr></li></ul><h3>Qualifications</h3><ul><li>3+ years of experience in permitting, project management, or operations (solar industry preferred).</li><li>Strong knowledge of residential construction permitting; solar-specific permitting experience highly desirable.</li><li>Familiarity with municipal, utility, and state solar requirements in the Northeast a plus.</li><li>Excellent organizational and time-management skills.</li><li>Strong leadership abilities with experience managing a team.</li><li>Proficiency in project management software and CRM tools (Salesforce experience preferred).</li><li>Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills.</li><li>Excellent verbal and written communication abilities. &nbsp;</li></ul>Key Performance Metrics<ul><li>Average permit approval turnaround time.</li><li>Accuracy rate of submitted permit packages.</li><li>On-time permit approvals aligned with project schedules.</li><li>Team productivity and efficiency.</li></ul>Compensation &amp; Benefits<ul><li>Competitive salary commensurate with experience.</li><li>Performance-based bonuses.</li><li>Comprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance.</li><li>Paid time off and holidays.</li><li>401(k) with company match.</li><li>Opportunities for career advancement in a growing company.</li></ul>#vs1 </div>
