Actively participate in ACLI, NAIC, and RBC discussions related to investments and new capital standards. Monitor the development of regulatory guidance updates.</li><li>Test and ensure proper utilization of regulatory updates pushed to the accounting software.</li><li>Directly interface with client stakeholders to assist them with determining regulatory treatment and conclusions for assets under management.</li><li>Manage the filing of securities with NAIC’s Securities Valuation Office (SVO). Ensure all securities owned by the insurance company are filed in accordance with the NAIC’s Purposes and Procedures Manual (P&amp;P Manual).</li><li>Collaborating with Portfolio Managers (PMs) on requests and inquiries, reviewing NAIC ratings changes, and conducting detailed analysis on NAIC 6-designated securities.</li><li>Serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME): Working with various internal and external third-party stakeholders on specific issues related to Statutory Principals Based Bond Definitions guidance.</li><li>Assist in managing the firm’s Bermuda Statutory accounting requirements and implementation and maintenance of any Bermuda permitted practices.</li><li>Manage, mentor, and develop a team of investment accounting professionals onshore as well as offshore.</li></ul>Qualifications &amp; Experience<ul><li>Education: Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field.</li><li>Certifications: CPA, MBA, or other relevant certifications.</li><li>Experience: Hands-on management experience with direct reports and strong technical accounting knowledge.
