The successful candidate is comfortable performing a wide range of tasks from administrative to strategic. The position is based in Brisbane, Australia.  Key responsibilities:<ul><li>Manager the delivery of the Kuraby to Beenleigh project, accountability for Scope, Time, Cost, Risk, Quality and Change Control.</li><li>Manage and coordinate the engineering, construction, testing &amp; commissioning and verification &amp; validation deliverables on the project.</li><li>Manage and coordinate the engagement of all the Participants in the resolution of Interface and Possession issues.</li><li>Facilitate the integrated Assurance process in accordance with the Integrated and Progressive Assurance Strategies.</li><li>Facilitate the Transition to Operations process in accordance with the Integration Strategies.</li><li>Supervising the production of the project plans and schedules.</li><li>Coordinating project reporting in compliance with the Alliance and Internal requirements.</li><li>Contract Administration.</li><li>Coordinating and supporting internal and external audits.</li><li>Attending/chairing Project meetings and arrange the preparation of progress reports, performance reviews and commercial reports.</li><li>Ensuring all activities undertaken are conducted with due regard to a high-level of continuous improvement.</li><li>Ensuring all activities undertaken are conducted with due regard to a high-level of safety.</li><li>Be a leading example of the Hitachi Rail mission, vision and values</li></ul>Skills &amp; Experience:<ul><li>Significant commercial experience (5+ years) working in complex, multi-discipline engineering projects including phases of design, procurement, construction, commissioning - ideally within the rail industry.</li><li>Experience in the following areas of project management: Customer management, scheduling, planning, critical path analysis, change management, risk management, cost estimation.</li><li>Training in PMP, Prince 2 or similar Project Management methodology.</li><li>Initiative-taking, with excellent leadership, organisational, communication and people skills.</li><li>Agile mindset, able to take prompt decisions in a challenging environment.</li><li>Ability to work and lead in a multicultural environment.</li><li>Microsoft Office proficiency.</li><li>Demonstrates perseverance, patience and commitment for long term success</li><li>Educated to degree or related trade level - Engineering</li></ul>At Hitachi Rail, we know that a diverse business is a sustainable business.
