Manager Engineering Delivery

We want you to have a sense of belonging and feel valued for your contributions and the perspectives you bring.</span></div><div><span>&nbsp;</span></div><div><span><b>Summary:&nbsp; </b></span></div><div><span>The Manager, Engineering Delivery leads the engineering project management effort, including a team of project managers, in support of RES renewable energy projects.</span></div><div><span>&nbsp;</span></div><div><span>This role will be hybrid requiring a minimum of 3 days in office and 2 days working from home.</span></div><div><span>&nbsp;</span></div><div><span><b>Requirements:&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; </b></span></div><ul><li><span>Acts as liaison and resource for development and construction teams with Company’s engineering resources throughout the project life cycle. </span></li><li><span>Acts as key point of contact for Pre-construction and Construction for all engineering Statements of Work (SOWs.) Aligns individual and team objective to department and company objectives.</span></li><li><span>Provides oversight and support of Assistant and Engineering Project Managers during project activities.</span></li><li><span>Manages and supports employee development and growth.</span></li><li><span>Provides regular and direct feedback on performance and goal progress to direct reports.</span></li><li><span>Works closely with Assistant/Engineering Project Managers (A/EPM) on assigned projects (EPC, bid-build, major bids). </span></li><li><span>Reviews RFP and contract documents and exhibits to identify key items for engineering and provide engineering feedback for incorporation into final versions.</span></li><li><span>Works closely with the scheduling department and pre-construction to ensure all engineering deliverables are available when necessary to meet overall project schedule.</span></li><li><span>Identifies scope, develops schedules, and coordinates the engineering and design activities for: </span></li><ul><li><span>Major bid/RFP opportunities </span></li><li><span>EPC construction projects </span></li></ul><li><span>Establishes, communicates, and manages project engineering budget, schedule and scope expectations. </span></li><li><span>Creates and maintains Request for Information (RFI) register with the document control system (Procore). </span></li><li><span>Performs review of designs provided by Engineer of Record for compliance to technical specifications/requirements/scope of work.</span></li><li><span>Identifies and develops SOW for engineering peer review of Engineer of Record design(s) with the RES engineering team. </span></li><li><span>Seeks continuous improvement opportunities for value engineering and efficiencies in design. </span></li><li><span>Identifies and quantifies potential risks, contract clarifications, and exclusions. </span></li><li><span>Facilitates handovers to project teams when projects are won or transition to late-stage development Design engineering / construction phase. </span></li><li><span>Identify and coordinate with outside engineers for services on projects.</span></li><li><span>Operates Company vehicle, as needed, for business at projects and meetings; eligible for corporate vehicle insurance coverage.</span></li><li><span>Attends work regularly and punctually, as scheduled or expected.</span></li><li><span>Complies with Employee Handbook, Code of Conduct and Company Policies &amp; Procedures.</span></li></ul><div><span><b>Additional Responsibilities:</b></span></div><ul><li><span>Coordinates and host engineering kick off meetings (client and internal). </span></li><li><span>Assists Project Manager with establishing Job codes / Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) and Project creation wizard (create folder structure and work order) for design/construction phase. </span></li><li><span>Assists construction project coordinator to set-up document control system (Procore). </span></li><li><span>Maintains upkeep of design change log for periodic distribution to the Project Manager. </span></li><li><span>Ensures that the A/EPM sets up and coordinates technical design review meetings. </span></li><li><span>Ensures that the A/EPM sets up and coordinates Safety Thru Design review meetings. </span></li><li><span>Ensures that the A/EPM schedules and supports organizing site visits for Engineering.</span></li></ul><div><span><b>Safety: </b></span></div><ul><li><span>Presents, supports, and leads-by-example with a safety and quality-oriented attitude.</span></li><li><span>Leads by example to show that safety is the most important function, ensuring that all employees follow safe practices while working.</span></li><li><span>Accountable to continually reinforce safe behaviors and correct “at risk” behaviors.</span></li><li><span>Adheres to and ensures all site team members understands standard operating procedures.</span></li><li><span>Leads and supports the site team in technical, quality and safety, utilizing system in place.</span></li></ul><div><span><b>Leadership: &nbsp;&nbsp;</b></span></div><ul><li><span>Fosters and demonstrates a workplace inclusive of creating opportunity, serving others, building trust, innovation, and exceeding expectations.</span></li><li><span>Manages one or more direct reports.</span></li><li><span>Participates in hiring and selection process to fill positions on the team.</span></li><li><span>Communicates regularly with direct reports on goals, accomplishments, and information on policies.</span></li><li><span>Aligns individual and team objective to department and company objectives.</span></li><li><span>Demonstrates leadership and expertise in eyes of client group.</span></li><li><span>Employee Development:</span></li><li><span>Provides tasks and assignments that challenge and stretch employees’ responsibilities.</span></li><li><span>Conducts regular discussions with employee(s) on personal development. Comfortable with empowering others.</span></li><li><span>Conducts timely, effective performance reviews in accordance with RES guidelines.</span></li></ul><div><span><b>Qualifications: </b></span></div><ul><li><span>Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in construction management or civil, structural, mechanical, or electrical engineering required.</span></li><li><span>Master’s degree in project management, business administration, or similar preferred. </span></li><li><span>Project Management certification preferred.</span></li><li><span>Professional Engineer certification preferred.</span></li><li><span>5 or more years of cumulative engineering experience with relevant renewable energy experience required.</span></li><li><span>1 or more years of demonstrated leadership and portfolio management experience preferred.</span></li><li><span>Ability to travel domestically and internationally 5 to 15% required.</span></li><li><span>Must possess a valid Driver’s license. </span></li><li><span>Expert level of knowledge in: </span></li><ul><li><span>Communication, internally and externally </span></li><li><span>General Civil, Structural, Electrical, SCADA, and Mechanical Design&nbsp;&nbsp; </span></li><li><span>General Design for Constructability&nbsp; </span></li></ul><li><span>Advanced level of knowledge in: </span></li><ul><li><span>Renewable Power Plant Design </span></li><li><span>Renewable Power Plant Performance Analysis </span></li><li><span>Project Scheduling Tools&nbsp;&nbsp; </span></li><li><span>Familiarity with Industry Standards </span></li><li><span>Personnel Management&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; </span></li><li><span>Client Management&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; </span></li><li><span>Organization&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; </span></li></ul><li><span>Intermediate level of knowledge in: </span></li><ul><li><span>Fundamental understanding of AutoCAD</span></li><li><span>MS Office (Project, Excel (charts, graphs, bars, pivot tables, VLOOKUP, COUNTIF, SUMIF, filtering, creating macros to automate common tasks, managing large amounts of data), PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, etc.)&nbsp;</span></li></ul></ul><div><span><b>Anticipated base salary range:</b>&nbsp; $126,000 - $157,000</span></div><div><span>&nbsp;</span></div><div><span>The final agreed upon compensation is based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location.
