<h2>Overview</h2>We are designing the grid of the future!  As a Senior Conventional Thermal Generation Engineer at EPE, you will lead the design, integration, commissioning, troubleshooting, and maintenance of electrical systems for conventional thermal assets—gas turbines, reciprocating (RICE) engine-generator sets, and their balance of plant (BOP). You’ll deliver high-quality consulting services for simple/combined-cycle, cogeneration (CHP), and reciprocating engine plants while advancing EPE’s internal knowledge base and best practices.<h2>Responsibilities</h2>How you can make an impact:<ul> <li>Develop one-lines, load lists, cable schedules, grounding and protection diagrams; design power distribution, control, and protection schemes.</li> <li>Selecting and specifying appropriate electrical equipment, such as transformers, switchgear, motors, and instrumentation, ensuring they meet project requirements and industry standards.</li> <li>Oversee installation, FAT/SAT, start-up, and troubleshooting of electrical systems for turbine and engine plants.</li> <li>Ensuring that all electrical work complies with relevant safety regulations and industry standards, such as those from the National Electrical Code (NEC).</li> <li>Collaborating with mechanical, control, and other engineers to ensure the smooth integration of electrical systems with other plant components.</li> <li>Making sure to complete assigned projects on time while adhering to project quality and budget objectives.</li> <li>Demonstrate strong communication, collaboration, and client-facing professionalism.</li></ul> <h2>Qualifications</h2>Bring your passion, here's what’s needed:<ul> <li>B.S. in Electrical Engineering (power systems focus); M.S. is preferred.
