The TPM will develop and manage supply and after-sales relationships with key battery suppliers while monitoring and managing the company’s portfolio of deployed batteries. The TPM will be responsible for building a battery technology roadmap, plotting the right strategy for the company balancing technology quality, cost, and lifetime. The TPM will also lead the company’s efforts in second-life batteries and recycling.   Key Responsibilities: <ul><li>Develop and manage BasiGo’s technology roadmap for lithium-ion battery technology based on industry and technology trends. </li><li>Lead battery specification and evaluation for new electric vehicle and ESS products.</li><li>Develop and lead BasiGo’s relationships with global battery suppliers to BasiGo.</li><li>Monitor, manage, and report on BasiGo’s battery portfolio across markets and applications including strategies on charging, SoH management, and after-sales support.</li><li>Collaborate with Engineering, Manufacturing, and Operations to ensure company objectives related to batteries are being met across the business.</li><li>Lead development of BasiGo’s second-life battery and recycling strategy for lithium-ion batteries.</li><li>Represent battery technology and products to management and investors. </li></ul>Required Qualifications: <ul><li>M.S. in Chemical, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering</li><li>Minimum of 5+ years of experience in lithium-ion battery technology and systems.</li><li>Expertise in lithium-ion battery technology for electric vehicles from chemistry through system design</li><li>Experience in lithium-ion battery and/or lithium-ion battery pack product development and manufacturing.</li><li>Understanding of Battery Management Systems, State-of-Charge, and State-of-Health estimation and life-cycle management. </li><li>Experience in data analysis, visualization, and insights pertaining to energy storage.</li><li>Experience in Engineering Program Management</li><li>Experience working with technology supply chains in East Asia with a preference for experience with lithium-ion battery suppliers.</li><li>Direct knowledge of safety and quality standards for lithium-ion batteries for EV’s and ESS.</li><li>Strong communication skills and demonstrated ability to frame technical decisions. </li></ul>Desired Qualifications: <ul><li>Understanding of key technology trends pertaining to lithium-ion batteries.</li><li>Techno-economic modeling</li><li>Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality products.</li><li>Team leader who is excited to grow knowledge of young engineers.
