AECOM is seeking an Inspector VI to be based in Orange, CA.<ul><li>Serves as technical expert in field inspections ad audits, recognized as the 'go-to' expert internally and externally.</li><li>Provides guiding direction for inspections on engagements.</li><li>Sets direction and goals for inspection and/or business line.</li><li>External spokesperson on technical project issues.</li><li>Leads the audit strategy for individual's area of expertise.</li><li>Key point of contact for engagements and member of AECOM senior leadership team.</li><li>Visits construction site and inspects each stage of construction on a designated project up to completion.</li><li>Works under the supervision of a project construction manager as part of an integrated construction management team.</li><li>Interprets plans, specifications, and codes and verifies contract work is performed in • accordance with the contract documents.</li><li>May assist in obtaining approved designs and permits from utility companies for services to construction sites. Determine if construction work conforms to plans and specifications, if not issue Non-Conformance Reports for corrective action.</li><li>Maintains daily inspection reports for construction activities, which may include logs and materials reports. Review or prepare interim progress reports in support of verification of contractor payments. Monitor contractor quality testing activities.</li><li>Prepares reports on labor, material, and equipment on site for extra work items.</li><li>Assist in maintaining, supporting, and promoting a safe work environment while complying with project’s safety rules, policies, and procedures.</li><li>May coordinate and/or provide input for the preparation of inspection cost estimates and maintenance records. Arranges, coordinates, performs or oversees technical inspections of work for disciplines such as mechanical, electrical and plumbing for conformance to specification requirements.</li><li>Coordinates independent test laboratory activities and compares verifications test results with results from Contractor’s laboratory.</li></ul>
