Join us.About the Position Niron is seeking a Principal Compaction Engineer for its Pilot Production facility, located in Minneapolis, MN. This Engineer is responsible for developing, optimizing, and overseeing compaction processes for Iron Nitride (FeN) materials used in manufacturing. This role ensures that the (compact or structure) meets quality, density, and structural requirements prior to machining, contributing to product performance and consistency.The Principal Compaction Engineer will be responsible for advancing the methods and efficiency of the FeN permanent magnet compaction processes in both Pilot and full-scale Production. The role will include hands-on processing of materials, tooling, press hardware and materials delivery pre- &amp; post compaction. You will be responsible for transferring developed processes into production including process documentation and training of Press Operators &amp; Die Set-Up staff.Niron is a fast-paced environment requiring a very collaborative approach to work.
