AECOM is seeking a proactive and people-focused GIS Team Leader to support and grow a highly skilled team working on advanced GIS programming and online solutions. This role combines strong technical capabilities with leadership responsibilities, focusing on team coordination, development, and strategic alignment.This position offers the flexibility of a hybrid work schedule to include both office and remote work opportunities and can be based in one of the following South Africa centers: Centurion (Pretoria), Durban or Bellville (Cape Town).Key Responsibilities:<ul><li>Lead and support a small, high-performing GIS team focused on system and application support, asset reporting, and online GIS development.</li><li>Coordinate project priorities, timelines, and deliverables in alignment with business needs.</li><li>Facilitate communication between the GIS team and other departments or stakeholders.</li><li>Promote a collaborative and innovative team culture.</li><li>Support the professional development of team members through coaching, feedback, and career planning.</li><li>Help define and refine team processes, tools, and documentation standards.</li><li>Contribute to strategic planning for team growth and capability development.</li></ul>
