<div>Job Type</div><div>Full-time</div>We are seeking a dependable and safety-focused Recycling Facility Sorter to join our materials recovery team. The Sorter is responsible for manually sorting recyclable materials from a moving conveyor belt, conducting basic quality control, and maintaining a clean and safe work environment.Requirements  Material Sorting:<ul><li>Identify and separate recyclable materials such as plastics, metals, cardboard, and      paper on a fast-moving conveyor belt.</li><li>Remove non-recyclable or contaminated items to ensure material quality</li></ul>Quality Control:<ul><li>Inspect materials for cleanliness and contamination.</li><li>Ensure that materials meet facility and market quality standards before further processing.</li></ul>Housekeeping and Safety:<ul><li>Maintain cleanliness of the work area including floors, conveyor belts, and sorting stations.</li><li>Follow all safety policies and wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).</li><li>Report any equipment malfunctions or safety hazards to a supervisor immediately.</li></ul>Team Collaboration:<ul><li>Communicate clearly with team members and supervisors.</li><li>Assist in other areas of the facility as needed, including maintenance and general labor tasks.</li></ul>  Qualifications:<ul><li>Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks in a fast-paced environment.</li><li>Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.</li><li>Comfortable working in a noisy, dusty, and sometimes odorous environment.</li><li>Reliable attendance and punctuality are essential.</li><li>Previous experience in recycling or warehouse work is a plus but not required.</li></ul>Work Conditions:<ul><li>Indoor/outdoor facility: may be exposed to variable temperatures.</li><li>Shift work, including early mornings, evenings, weekends as required.</li></ul>We are an Equal Opportunity Employer.
