This role requires a professional with a strong understanding of accounting principles ensuring the highest level of financial reporting and control.​Responsibilities: Financial Reporting<ul><li>Prepare and issue monthly Trial Balance trend analysis reports.</li><li>Work with the AAC team to reconcile any intercompany account balances differences and reconcile any discrepancies.</li><li>Provide support to field units and assist with follow up questions from field and AAC team. </li><li>Load monthly general ledger activity into the appropriate Finance and Accounting systems.</li><li>Perform preparation and/or review of account reconciliations.</li><li>Prepare monthly recurring journal entries and maintain documentation.</li><li>Assist with the quarterly analytics to be provided to corporate for review.</li></ul> Budgeting and Forecasting<ul><li>Assist in creating annual budget</li><li>Monitor budget variances and provide explanations</li><li>Assist in the preparation of the financial forecasts</li><li>Identify and recommend cost saving opportunities</li></ul> Audit and Tax Compliance<ul><li>Coordinate and assist with external audits</li><li>Prepare and submit tax returns and comply with tax regulations</li><li>Maintain accurate and organized records for audits and tax purposes</li></ul> Process Improvement<ul><li>Identify areas for process improvement and implement solutions</li><li>Streamline accounting processes to increase efficiency and accuracy</li><li>Ensure internal controls are in place and followed</li></ul> Stakeholder Relationship Management<ul><li>Collaborate with other departments and stakeholders to gather financial information</li><li>Respond to inquiries and provide financial expertise to support decision making</li><li>Foster positive relationships with clients, vendors, and other external stakeholders.</li></ul> Qualifications:<ul><li>Bachelor’s degree in Accounting,</li><li>4+ years of relevant experience including experience working in a large global corporation.</li><li>Strong skills in accounting software, advanced Excel capabilities, and familiarity with enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems.</li><li>The ability to analyze complex financial data and provide strategic recommendations.</li><li>Able to set priorities and meet deadlines in a changing environment with minimal supervision.</li><li>Must be a self-starter and an independent thinker.</li><li>A thorough understanding of GAAP, tax codes, and financial regulations.</li><li>Excellent verbal and written communication abilities for reporting financial information to management and stakeholders.</li><li>Precision and attention to detail are crucial for ensuring the accuracy of financial records and reports.</li></ul>Preferred Qualifications:<ul><li>CPA (Certified Public Accountant) or similar certification, such as CMA (Certified Management Accountant) or ACCA (Association of Chartered Certified Accountants)</li></ul>#LI-JO2Join the global Xylem team to be a part of innovative technology solutions transforming water usage, conservation, and re-use.
