May be assigned to purchase non-production items. They will focus on supplier management to obtain on time delivery from a large group of suppliers managed by various buyers.Requirements  Essential Duties and Responsibilities<ul><li>Professionally place purchase orders to meet program and productions schedules, while maintaining good supplier relationships when assigned.</li><li>Control the cost of purchase materials within budget and generate cost reduction action plans.</li><li>Attain a level of product/commodity knowledge and develop a level of awareness of supplier operations as they pertain to the Company.</li><li>Professionally resolve problems (both internally and externally), in a fair and ethical manner.</li><li>Must have good interpersonal skills to interact effectively with all levels of the organization as well as outside contacts.</li><li>Travel will be required to various supplier locations.</li><li>Maintain and support company objectives for cost out, inventory turns, and supplier on-time delivery.</li><li>Provide vendor performance data for Quarterly Scorecard.</li></ul>Skills and Attributes<ul><li>Ability to read blueprints and technical information.
