Covering technical areas such as steady state main circuit design, insulation coordination, transient design, harmonic design, electromagnetic interference, modes of operation and RAM/FMEA.“This advertisement is for the backbone office within HVDC System Design department, where your main task is to support the project execution offices by improving base design and ways of working” – Casper Karlsson, Line Manager - Main System Design Backbone.How you will make an impact<ul><li>Ensure the base design and engineering solutions used in the HVDC converter stations are modularized, robust, productified and useful for the current HVDC market.</li><li>Ensure ways of working (study processes, base reports &amp; models, design principles and design rules etc.) are up to date, simple to use, robust and useful for the project execution departments.</li><li>Actively contribute in internal transformation projects and initiatives.</li><li>Effectively participate in problem-solving discussions where you can present your work, discuss challenges and propose a path forward on a higher level.</li><li>Write clear technical reports describing your complex work in a professional manner.</li><li>Take responsibility for your work activities, deliver with quality and on time.</li></ul>Your background<ul><li>You hold a university degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent, with focus on Power Systems or Power Electronics.</li><li>You have a general understanding of electrical power systems and its equipments.</li><li>You encounter problems with a practical engineering mindset and actively ensure that problems are solved.</li><li>You are a team player with excellent communication and report writing skills.</li><li>Fluent in English both written and verbal.</li><li>Programming experience in MATLAB and Python, and experience of EMT tools like PSCAD is highly advantageous.
