You will be split between West Perth office and the Alkimos site, you will be a trusted business partner and play a vital role in developing and implementing HR strategies that enable the project to meet its goals.</p><p><b>The Project</b><br>The project includes the design, construction, operation and maintenance of the plant with first production in 2028. Works include marine works and tunnels, seawater intake system, a seawater reverse osmosis desalination plant, groundwater system, drinking water storage and pump system, supported by civil, electrical and bulk earthworks.</p><p></p><p><b>Key accountabilities for the position: </b></p><ul><li><b>Provide expert guidance on employee and industrial relations</b>, including conducting intermediate-level investigations, drafting comprehensive reports, and managing negotiated exits.</li><li><b>Interpret and apply employment legislation and enterprise agreements</b>, offering accurate advice to payroll on matters such as long service leave, superannuation, and ordinary time earnings.</li><li><b>Support workforce planning and development</b> by identifying talent gaps, advising on capability needs, and analysing workforce data to inform strategic decisions.</li><li><b>Contribute to organisational design and change initiatives</b>, assessing the impact of role and structural changes on business operations.</li><li><b>Lead and align HR governance and strategy</b>, ensuring job roles, capabilities, and salary bandings support organisational goals, while overseeing junior team members’ work.</li><li><b>Promote a positive workplace culture</b>, embedding diversity and inclusion initiatives, managing ethical decision-making, and supporting employee branding strategies.</li><li><b>Drive talent acquisition and retention strategies</b>, including sourcing, advising on hiring processes, and developing competitive compensation and benefits packages.</li></ul><div><div><div><div><div><div><div><p style="text-align:inherit;"></p><p style="text-align:left;"><b>Required Skills and Competencies</b></p></div></div></div></div></div></div></div><ul><li>Experience in an HR leadership role in a construction project or similar heavy industry environment.</li><li>Demonstrated leadership capability and the ability to manage a team effectively.</li><li>Capability to influence and drive change management through all levels of project leadership and operational staff.</li><li>Highly proficient with employment law, regulations, and best practices in HR.</li><li>Ideally, a bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.</li></ul><p></p><p><b>What we offer </b></p><p>At ACCIONA, we offer a dynamic and challenging work environment where our employees can grow and develop their careers.
