This role is responsible for managing supplier quality across the full lifecycle—from early design through mass production—ensuring robust manufacturing processes, effective quality controls, and continuous improvement. The ideal candidate brings strong engineering fundamentals, cross-functional collaboration skills, and the ability to adapt across diverse product types and supplier capabilities.  You Will: <ul><li>Own supplier quality activities for Interior and Safety components, including molded plastics, soft trim, restraints, and airbag systems. </li><li>Collaborate with Design Engineering, Manufacturing, and Supply Chain teams to ensure supplier readiness and alignment with product requirements. </li><li>Support early design reviews and DFM discussions, incorporating lessons learned and driving manufacturability improvements. </li><li>Develop and execute quality plans, including inspection criteria, test methods, and gaging strategies. </li><li>Facilitate APQP deliverables and PPAP submissions, ensuring timely and complete documentation from suppliers. </li><li>Lead root cause analysis and corrective action efforts for supplier quality issues, driving containment and long-term resolution. </li><li>Conduct supplier audits and process assessments, identifying risks and improvement opportunities. </li><li>Monitor supplier performance metrics and drive continuous improvement initiatives. </li><li>Support build events and incoming inspection setup, ensuring quality controls are in place and effective. </li><li>Manage change control activities related to supplier components, ensuring traceability and alignment with engineering updates. </li><li>Travel up to 30% globally to support supplier development and issue resolution. </li></ul>You Bring: <ul><li>Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (required). </li><li>3+ years of experience in Supplier Quality, Manufacturing Engineering, or Industrialization within automotive or high-volume production environments. </li><li>Working knowledge of GD&amp;T, tolerance analysis, and inspection methods for molded and assembled components. </li><li>Familiarity with statistical tools such as SPC, MSA, DOE, and capability analysis. </li><li>Experience with APQP, PPAP, and quality systems (e.g., IATF 16949). </li><li>Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications. </li><li>Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills. </li><li>Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint; experience with Smartsheets, Minitab, JIRA, or Tableau is a plus. </li><li>A collaborative mindset and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. </li></ul><div><div>Additional Compensation and Benefits: Lucid offers a wide range of competitive benefits, including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, disability insurance, vacation, and 401k.
