AECOM’s Design and Consulting Services-Americas legal department is actively seeking a creative, highly talented attorney to support AECOM’s operations in its East Region. This will be a hybrid position including a combination of both remote and in-office, and can be located in, but not be limited to: Coral Gables, FL; Tampa, FLThe appropriately qualified applicant will be able to demonstrate an established career in construction law and legal issues related to contracts for engineering, construction, and other technical services.Job Description: <ul><li>Review, draft, and negotiate contracts, and other legal documents relating to architecture, engineering, construction, and other services provided by the company to clients in the public and private sectors, including documents related to teaming arrangements, joint ventures, confidentiality agreements, and insurance in both English and Spanish</li><li>Guidance on risk management and adherence to company policies</li><li>Act in an advisory capacity making recommendations that may have an important bearing on the conduct of the organization's business</li><li>Work with management and staff to resolve pre-litigation disputes and potential claims</li><li>Manage various types of litigation matters and claims utilizing outside counsel retained by the company to maximize quality and cost-effectiveness</li><li>Handle subpoenas, document requests, and other litigation related items with limited support staff</li><li>Review and conduct research into legislation, cases and legal precedents and emerging government policies to the extent required to address contract-specific or other matters</li><li>Prepare and review legal memoranda and briefs relating to organizational risks and activities</li><li>Provide staff with guidance on compliance with federal and state laws, statutes and regulations</li><li>Provide support to multiple offices, and support other team members within the broader East Region as may be necessary based on experience and/or workloads</li></ul>
