As an Electrical Engineer, you will help design and develop electronic systems used for flight controls, motor control and battery management. In this role, you will work as part of an integrated team helping to develop and certify electronic components for BETA’s electric aircraft.</span></div><br><br><h3>How you will contribute to revolutionizing electric aviation:</h3><ul><li>Design and Develop electronics used in electric aviation</li><li>Capture schematics to support circuit functions</li><li>Design filters to meet the EMI/EMC requirements of DO-160G</li><li>Analyze electronic hardware including input power and input signal filters</li><li>Design digital circuits using ICs, ADCs, microprocessors, buffers, memory devices and serial databus  transceivers (CAN, RS422, ARINC-429)</li><li>Design and test inverter motor control circuits</li><li>Analyze analog signal input conditioning circuits using LTSpice</li><li>Compute power budgets and perform thermal analyses</li><li>Use standard lab probing and troubleshooting test equipment</li><li>Build and test prototype hardware</li><li>Develop electronic test fixtures (bed-of nails) and write hardware test procedures</li><li>Review PCB layouts and coordinate with contract manufacturers</li><li>Research electronic parts and work with sourcing</li></ul><h3>Minimum Qualifications:</h3><ul><li>B.S. in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science</li><li>&gt;2 years of experience in electronics design and schematic capture using Altium or equivalent</li><li>Experience with electrical simulation tools</li></ul><h3>Above and Beyond Qualifications:</h3><ul><li>Advanced Degree, or equivalent combination of education and experience</li><li>Experience with rapid prototyping tools using KiCad, PCB123 or Altium</li><li>Experience designing power supplies topologies and analyzing performance</li><li>Experience with zero-voltage-switching (ZVS) topology</li><li>Experience with electric field simulation for analysis of electromagnetic and electromechanical devices using ANSYS Maxwell, or equivalent software</li><li>Experienced in PCB layout and knowledgeable about assembly standards</li><li>Experience working within GIT version control or other configuration management practices</li><li>Experience with microcontroller device configuration and utilization</li><li>Experience with requirements-based design</li><li>Ability to evaluate transfer functions for gain, phase margin and stability</li><li>Pilot’s license or an interest in aviation</li></ul><br><div><span style="font-size:18px;"><b>Build electric airplanes with us!</b></span></div><div><br></div><div><span style="font-size:16px;">BETA offers a competitive Total Compensation package designed to support you now and as you grow with us.
