Join us as an EH&amp;S Specialist in Holland, MI as we work together to bring innovative automation solutions to life.   Location Type: This role is onsite at our headquarters in Holland, MI.  How You’ll Make an Impact:<ul><li>Trainer/Instructor for JR Automation specializing in, but not limited to Safety and Sustainability Training. </li><li>Actively manages all aspects of JR Automation’s Safety Learning Management System.   </li><li>Ensures accurate and complete safety training recordkeeping of safety training is kept, as detailed as needed, and up to date. </li><li>Works with internal and external stakeholders to develop, improve, and implement training as needed.   </li><li>Uses the latest adult learning best practices to deliver training that can be received, understood, implemented, and retained. </li><li>Assess training needs for new and existing employees, including remedial. </li><li>Identify internal and external training programs to address competency gaps and ensure compliance with professional standards, requirements of business, and industry and regulatory bodies. </li><li>Maintain, develop and improve high hazard industry training. (Crane, Rigging, Forklift, Aerial, Fall Protection, Haz Energy, Electrical) </li><li>Positions themselves to be a strategic partner in the company. </li><li>Be the subject matter expert on adult EHS learning in the workplace. </li><li>Develop training aids such as manuals, hands on devices, aids, and handbooks. </li><li>Facilitate learning through a variety of delivery methods including classroom instruction, virtual training, on-the-job coaching. </li><li>Design, apply and report out on assessment tools to measure training effectiveness. </li><li>Track and report on training outcomes, compliance and keep leading metrics up to date. </li><li>Handle all logistics for in-house training activities including venues and equipment. </li><li>Pursue and obtain government incentives to fund skill development.   </li><li>Manage and maintain in-house training facilities and equipment.  </li><li>Manage special projects for Facilities and EHS&amp;S needs.  </li><li>Annually audit, or coordinate with a 3rd party, inspect all Rigging equipment per Government regulations </li><li>Plan, coordinate, and deliver Emergency Response Team training. </li><li>Act as EHS&amp;S partner within the Operations Group to build and sustain a positive Safety and Sustainability culture that meets and exceeds JR Automation’s goals. </li><li>With an active caring posture mentor, coaches and advises team members on working safely. </li><li>Collaborates across functional groups to implement new EHS&amp;S programs. </li><li>Helps maintain facility and EHS&amp;S building needs such as signage, first aid equipment, and Emergency Response needs. </li><li>Participates as a team member in Company Projects representing Health, Safety, and Environment.  May include brainstorming, assessments, and interpretation of Standards. </li><li>Attain EHS related certificates and education related to job functions, specifically training and program development. </li><li>Coordinate as needed safety-culture-improvement efforts, including proactive safety programs, employee engagement and risk awareness. </li><li>Participates and runs division level safety walks/audits.  </li><li>Supports divisions as an EHS&amp;S Specialist as needed. </li><li>Able to communicate across the organizations on EHS&amp;S needs from a corporate standpoint.</li></ul> Note:  This list of responsibilities is by no means inclusive; however, it is intended to be a guideline for activities.  What You’ll Bring: <ul><li>3-5 years of experience within safety or experience teaching with a passion for safety and sustainability.   </li><li>Understanding of MIOSHA/OSHA and emerging sustainability regulations and standards. </li><li>Strong safety awareness </li><li>Good understanding of various teaching methodologies and tools including competency assessment and adult learning </li><li>Ability to cater to different learning needs and competing priorities. </li><li>Proficient in MS Office especially PowerPoint) </li><li>Experience with an e-learning software and strong technology skills. </li><li>Good time-management skills </li><li>Ability to multi-task </li><li>Strong interpersonal and communication skills </li><li>Critical-thinker and problem-solver </li></ul> JR Automation requires candidates to successfully complete a 10-panel drug screen, physical examination, and background check. Company Overview: At JR Automation, A Hitachi Group Company, we discover potential, reimagine limits, and advance industry.
