Our team is responsible for designing, developing, and scaling cutting-edge electrode manufacturing processes for Form Energy’s Iron-Air multi-day battery. As a Staff Manufacturing Engineer, Electrode Processing, you will be at the forefront of translating novel research into efficient, high quality manufacturing processes. Your expertise with process scaling and rapid troubleshooting will have a direct impact on the design and operations of the equipment that creates Form’s Gas Diffusion Cathode. Your main focus area will be calendering, drying and slitting. You will work side by side with the process engineering team who will be designing experimental trials, identifying and optimizing key process inputs. You will then take this information and ensure the design of the next generation equipment meets the process needs. You will work with external suppliers to design, purchase, land and commission equipment. You will own the cycle from RFI to SAT. After SAT, you will support the process engineering team in bringing the line to SOP readiness. You will facilitate the smooth integration of new equipment and maximize flexibility.
