The Opportunity: The Service Technologist is a member of the Customer Operations team, responsible for performing product service activities such as diagnostic triage, troubleshooting and repair/testing of returned products to Tantalus including supporting quality and engineering investigation and testing of products. Additionally, this role is responsible for maintaining the test jigs used in the above activities. Location of Position:This position is based in our Burnaby, BC office. Specifically, the Service Technologist will: <ul><li>Perform triage and troubleshooting of returned products</li><li>Conduct repairs and upgrades on returned products</li><li>Perform required visual reviews and verification tests on all repaired products prior to return to the end customer</li><li>Maintain and repair test jigs used in Quality and Service activities</li><li>Enter data related to troubleshooting, repairs, and test results of products in service</li><li>Assist with receiving and shipping of products returned for service</li><li>Perform and assist with failure investigations and testing in collaboration with the Quality and Engineering teams</li><li>Assist other team members as needed</li></ul> What you Bring:Education and Experience<ul><li>Diploma or degree in Electrical/Electronics Technology</li><li>Solid foundation in electronics and troubleshooting methodologies, including the use of various test instruments</li><li>Understanding of analog and digital electronics</li><li>Knowledge and experience with communications theory and products is an asset</li><li>Proficient in high-quality surface-mount and through-hole soldering</li><li>Experience with both Windows and Linux operating systems as a user</li><li>Experience with Microsoft Office products (Outlook, Word, Excel)</li></ul> Experience Desired:<ul><li>Experience with RF products and associated test instruments (e.g., signal generator, VNA, spectrum analyzer)</li><li>Experience with database basics, including configuration and maintenance and able to perform queries and generate reports</li></ul> Personal Attributes Required:<ul><li>Excellent verbal and written communication skills  </li><li>Proven ability to scope, schedule, and manage individual deliverables within a team environment</li><li>Passion for innovative design and a strong commitment to performance and documentation</li><li>High personal commitment to product quality and service excellence</li><li>Self-starter with flexibility and strong multi-tasking ability</li><li>Strong interpersonal skills, including teamwork, respect, and professionalism</li></ul> If you possess some of the key skills and experiences outlined in the job posting and are genuinely interested in the position, we invite you to take a chance and submit your application.
