POSITION SUMMARY:  The Manager, Design &amp; Construction is responsible from project initiation through closeout, including the development, management of projects scope, schedules, budgets, contracting and pricing strategies, EHS, QA/QC, project controls, change management and commissioning, ensure that projects are always in compliance with Construction Management Practices and to standard operating procedures. Projects are muti-disciplinary including but not limited to civil, architectural, mechanical, process, electrical, IT and I/C. The incumbent plans project resources, provides direction to the project teams. In this role the incumbent will manage a team of General Contractors and work closely with the Design, Operations, Real Estate, Legal, IT, Finance, Facilities and Business Development teams. PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES: <ul><li>Owns and manages the development of the Project Execution Plan.</li><li>Identifies project objectives and milestones; monitors the development and implementation of the necessary processes and procedures, action plans, schedules and budgets by the GC, A/E and Third-Party vendors.</li><li>Lead the development of capital project budgets and provide ROM construction cost estimates.</li><li>Reviews construction bid packages and recommendations on awards.</li><li>Tracks projects costs &amp; expenditures against the project budget and forecasts costs to completion.
