We approach our mission with renowned technical leadership, a focus on customer service, and a culture of innovation and intellectual curiosity.The RoleAs Director of Sales, you’ll be a key force driving Xendee’s growth for both our design software and our AI energy management software that integrates with many commercial SCADA and  DER control systems. You’ll lead end-to-end sales efforts - from strategy through execution - building trusted customer relationships and shaping how the market experiences Xendee’s innovative solutions.This role demands a balance of strategic foresight, integrated software/hardware complex sales, and hands-on execution: the ability to close near-term opportunities while developing a long-term, scalable sales pipeline.What You’ll Do<ul><li>Develop and execute a go-to-market strategy for Xendee’s SaaS design and real-time energy management software offerings, balancing short-term wins with long-term growth.</li><li>Source and manage new opportunities through inbound and outbound channels, driving adoption among commercial, government, and enterprise customers.</li><li>Build trusted, long-term relationships with clients - from onboarding through the full customer lifecycle - earning credibility in a startup environment where brand trust is still being established.</li><li>Confidently articulate the value proposition of complex integrated software/hardware solutions to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.</li><li>Identify and pursue high-profile strategic accounts, using creativity and persistence to differentiate Xendee in a competitive market.</li><li>Collaborate cross-functionally with Product, Marketing, and Engineering to refine offerings based on customer feedback and market trends.</li><li>Lead compelling product presentations and demonstrations to drive upsell, cross-sell, and expansion opportunities.</li><li>Maintain and expand a well-organized CRM pipeline with an emphasis on continuous process improvement and scalability.</li></ul>What You Bring<ul><li>5+ years of sales experience in SaaS or technology startups; experience in cleantech, DERs, or energy systems is a strong plus.</li><li>Proven success selling in a startup environment, navigating challenges such as limited brand recognition and competition with established players.</li><li>Experience leading and closing complex software/hardware sales cycles for enterprise-grade solutions.</li><li>Strong technical acumen and the ability to communicate complex concepts clearly to engineers, and decision makers.</li><li>Strategic and critical thinking with the ability to design creative go-to-market strategies and balance tactical execution with long-term pipeline building.</li><li>Resilience and tenacity to drive results in the face of startup sales obstacles and evolving product landscapes.</li><li>Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills.</li><li>STEM degree or equivalent technical experience preferred.</li></ul>Why Xendee<ul><li>Join a mission-driven team shaping the future of clean energy infrastructure.</li><li>Work alongside leaders in microgrid and DER innovation.</li><li>Thrive in a collaborative, fast-moving environment where ideas drive real-world impact.</li><li>Competitive compensation with growth-stage upside.</li></ul>
