Summary of Position  The Maintenance Technician Lead Hand will be responsible for performing preventative and predictive maintenance to all production equipment. In addition to this, they are responsible for being a senior member of the maintenance team, and provide leadership and expertise to Jr. Technicians and to audit PMS completed by other technicians.   Essential Duties and Responsibilities  <ul><li>Maintain production equipment to maximize operating performance and assist with maintaining electrical spare parts’ inventory levels.   </li><li>Perform repairs on equipment to restore it to proper and safe working conditions.   </li><li>Perform installation, set up, modification and relocation of equipment to accommodate or improve production requirements.   </li><li>Read/write electrical and electronic schematics/diagrams, basic hydraulic and pneumatic diagrams.   </li><li>Test electrical and electronic equipment and components for continuity, current, voltage and resistance </li><li>Ensure the production schedule is not jeopardized due to machine breakdown, or unsafe operating conditions and inform Maintenance Manager about changes in electric circuits and update original diagrams.   </li><li>Always follow LOCK OUT procedure on unsafe machines/machines being serviced.   </li><li>Adhere to work orders, preventive/predictive maintenance systems by filling in required forms and organize workplace to comply with housekeeping requirements.   </li><li>Perform preventative/predictive maintenance to all production equipment as required.   </li><li>Complete electrical and mechanical projects based on direction given from Maintenance Supervisor as required by government regulation.   </li><li>Demonstrate safe work practices and follow company safety policies, procedures, and regulations always.   </li><li>Initiate and complete all other jobs, projects and special assignments as directed by Maintenance Supervisor   </li><li>Maintain compliance with the Occupational Health and Safety Act and recommend measures to improve health and safety.   </li><li>Repair and replace electrical/hydraulic/pneumatic and electronic components such as motors, contactors, relays, timers, types of switches, PLCs, light curtains, motor controls and valves.   </li></ul>
