We are the rebellious hero.   Summary: The Production Planner - BESS is responsible for planning, coordinating, and optimizing the manufacturing or production process to ensure timely delivery of BESS products while maximizing efficiency and minimizing costs. In this role you will act as a bridge between production, procurement, and sales. Responsibilities: Develop and maintain production schedules: <ul><li>Create and update production schedules based on customer demands, resource availability, and production capacity. </li></ul><ul><li>Coordinate with the production team to ensure schedules are communicated effectively and executed efficiently. </li></ul><ul><li>Analyze and address any potential scheduling conflicts or bottlenecks to minimize downtime and optimize productivity. </li></ul> Monitor and manage inventory levels: <ul><li>Collaborate with the procurement team to ensure an adequate supply of raw materials and components to support production schedules. </li></ul><ul><li>Regularly review inventory levels, identify any discrepancies or shortages, and take necessary actions to mitigate risks and maintain optimal stock levels. </li></ul><ul><li>Implement inventory control measures to minimize waste, reduce costs, and improve overall efficiency. </li></ul> Collaborate with cross-functional teams: <ul><li>Work closely with the sales, engineering, and procurement teams to gather information on customer orders, delivery dates, and product specifications. </li></ul><ul><li>Liaise with the production, quality assurance, and maintenance departments to address any production issues or equipment maintenance requirements that may impact schedules. </li></ul><ul><li>Coordinate with the shipping and logistics team to ensure on-time delivery of finished goods and resolve any transportation-related challenges. </li></ul> Continuous process improvement: <ul><li>Analyze production data, identify trends, and propose improvements to enhance production efficiency, reduce lead times, and optimize resource allocation. </li></ul><ul><li>Implement and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to track production performance, identify areas for improvement, and drive operational excellence. </li></ul><ul><li>Collaborate with the operations management team to implement best practices, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and lean manufacturing principles. </li></ul>Documentation and reporting: <ul><li>Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of production schedules, inventory levels, and any relevant production data. </li></ul><ul><li>Generate reports on production performance, including key metrics, adherence to schedules, and any deviations or variances. </li></ul><ul><li>Present reports and updates to the management team, highlighting achievements, challenges, and proposed solutions. </li></ul>Qualifications Requirements: <ul><li>Bachelor's degree in operations management, industrial engineering, or a related field (or equivalent work experience). </li></ul><ul><li>Minimum of 2 years’ experience with Switchgear, controlgear, switchboard, power distribution panel or related technical area </li></ul><ul><li>Minimum 5 years of experience in production or construction scheduling </li></ul><ul><li>Proven experience as a production scheduler or in a similar role within a manufacturing environment. </li></ul><ul><li>Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to anticipate and resolve production-related issues. </li></ul><ul><li>Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams. </li></ul><ul><li>Detail-oriented mindset with exceptional organizational and multitasking abilities. </li></ul><ul><li>Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. </li></ul><ul><li>Knowledge of inventory management principles and practices. </li></ul><ul><li>Familiarity with relevant safety regulations and quality standards. </li></ul> Shoals Technologies Group, LLC provides equal employment opportunities to all employees and applicants for employment and prohibits discrimination and harassment of any type without regard to race, color, religion, age, sex, national origin, disability status, genetics, protected veteran status, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, or any other characteristic protected by federal, state or local laws.
