AECOM is seeking a creative, highly talented Interior Designer for immediate employment in our Roanoke, VA office.  AECOM is a premier global architecture, design, and engineering firm operating in over 150 countries, providing fully integrated design, consulting, construction, and management services to a wide range of clients and markets. AECOM’s Buildings + Places business line is dedicated to design excellence and integrated project delivery solutions with expertise including architecture, interiors, engineering, development, workplace strategy, economic planning, master planning, project management, and construction services. Our B+P Roanoke studio provides industry-leading design projects in government, healthcare, and higher education markets. Responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to, those listed below:<ul><li>Responsible for initiating and developing design and construction document drawings through completion for assigned projects in conformance with the requirements, applicable codes, and design criteria established by the project’s discipline leaders.</li><li>Under some supervision, may complete design assignments of moderate complexity.</li><li>Limited familiarity with codes, permits, and software applications related to the discipline.</li><li>Introduced to the process of preparing designs and drawings using project specifications and discipline-associated written and verbal instructions in accordance with established design practices, standards and procedures.</li><li>Intermediate understanding of the purpose and use of vendor documents.</li><li>Applies education, growing industry knowledge, technical capabilities and experience to perform assignments</li><li>Acquires skills through education, training, and new experiences</li><li>Experiments with new approaches and shares key learnings with team members</li><li>Receives guidance and support on new assignments and begins working independently on more straight-forward tasks</li><li>Accountable for specific portions of a project or process with general oversight</li><li>Learns to be responsive to latest information and adapts to modified approaches when circumstances change</li><li>Exchanges information on routine and non-routine matters and builds relationships across departments</li><li>May support development of less experienced colleagues</li></ul>
