<div><div><div>Front Desk Associate Major Function The Bezos Earth Fund is accelerating progress toward a more equitable, sustainable, and climate-resilient world. We’re seeking a Front Desk Associate who will assist the Operations and Events team in general office management and provide support for internal and external events taking place onsite. They will serve as the first point of contact for visitors and will help create a positive impression of the organization.  Key Responsibilities <ul><li>Visitor and Vendor Coordination:<ul><li>Greets visitors; confirms the purpose of their visit and directs them to the appropriate location.  </li><li>Supports Facilities Coordinator in inputting visitor and vendor information; submits service requests into building management system. </li><li>Directs vendors who are onsite for work.</li></ul></li><li>Managing Office Correspondence:<ul><li>Liaises with building management office on maintenance, cleaning, and office repairs. </li><li>Manages Operations team calendars and maintains records.</li><li> Serves as a primary point of contact for staff and directs them to the appropriate team member.</li><li>Receives and distributes mail and deliveries.</li></ul></li><li>Office Maintenance: <ul><li>Assists Facilities Coordinator in daily upkeep of reception area, café, and small meeting spaces. </li><li>Coordinates office and café supply inventory; orders staff lunches on occasion.  </li></ul></li><li>Event Support:<ul><li>Assists Events team in staffing and staging onsite events; moves furniture as needed. </li></ul></li><li>Safety and Security:<ul><li>Supports office security protocol training and implementation. </li></ul></li><li>Performs other duties as assigned. </li></ul>  Education and Experience<ul><li>High school diploma or equivalent and 2 years of relevant work experience is required. </li><li>Demonstrate utmost professionalism and punctuality. </li><li>Excellent verbal communication skills. </li><li>Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills. </li><li>Understanding of administrative and clerical procedures and systems. </li><li>Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software</li></ul> Physical Requirements and Working Conditions<ul><li>Requires working onsite 5 days per week, during traditional business hours.  </li><li>Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer. </li><li>Some prolonged periods of standing/moving while supporting onsite events. </li><li>Ability to move around the physical office space. </li><li>Must be able to lift 25-35 pounds at times. </li><li>May require extended and/or weekend hours for urgent issues or to meet established deadlines. </li><li>This position is based in Washington, D.C.</li></ul>Salary Range:  $29 to $32 an hourThis is a paid position.
