Reporting to the Chief Transformation Officer, this position will focus on defining and executing the company’s commercial and product strategies — ensuring sustained, profitable growth across existing and new markets and product categories.This leader will bring a blend of strategic vision and operational discipline to guide cross-functional teams in commercial analysis, product strategy, new market development, and execution of key transformation initiatives. The role offers a unique opportunity to work at the intersection of strategy, product innovation, and organizational transformation — embedding a forward-thinking, growth-oriented mindset throughout the enterprise.<h2>Responsibilities</h2>Strategic Leadership<ul> <li>Partner with the CTO and executive leadership team to define and drive the company’s commercial transformation roadmap, aligning product, market, and channel strategies with long-term enterprise goals and customer value.</li> <li>Lead strategic analyses of markets, customers, and competitors to identify growth opportunities and inform product portfolio and resource allocation decisions.</li> <li>Develop clear, data-driven business cases for new initiatives — including new product development, market entries, and customer engagement models.</li> <li>Serve as a thought partner to senior leaders in translating strategy into executable plans with measurable impact.</li></ul> Product &amp; Market Strategy<ul> <li>Lead product strategy and product management activities, ensuring alignment of the product portfolio with customer needs, market trends, and profitability objectives.</li> <li>Drive cross-functional collaboration with Engineering, Sales, Manufacturing, and Operations to deliver differentiated solutions that address customers’ needs and strengthen the company’s market position.</li> <li>Guide the introduction of new offerings and business models, in our traditional transformer markets as well as new markets and through product innovation.</li></ul>Transformation &amp; Execution<ul> <li>Lead a small team of high-performing analysts and product managers, while orchestrating cross-functional teams to execute key strategic initiatives.</li> <li>Establish governance, metrics, and processes to ensure initiatives are delivered on time, on budget, and aligned with enterprise transformation objectives.</li> <li>Influence across the organization to align commercial decision-making with long-term strategic priorities.</li> <li>Partner with the CTO and business leaders to embed a growth-oriented mindset and strengthen enterprise commercial capabilities.</li></ul>M&amp;A Strategy and Growth Initiatives<ul> <li>Support inorganic growth by developing and refining the company’s commercial M&amp;A strategy, including target identification and prioritization.</li> <li>Conduct early-stage commercial diligence and integration planning to ensure acquired businesses align with strategic and product portfolio goals.</li> <li>Assess potential partnerships, joint ventures, and channel expansion opportunities that accelerate access to new markets and technologies.</li></ul><h2>Qualifications</h2>Education &amp; Experience<ul> <li>Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field required; MBA or advanced degree strongly preferred.</li> <li>10+ years of progressive experience in commercial strategy, product management, or business development, ideally within industrial manufacturing, energy, or electrical infrastructure.</li> <li>Proven success in developing and executing growth strategies across multiple products, markets, and geographies.</li> <li>Demonstrated experience leading cross-functional transformation or growth initiatives in a complex, matrixed environment.</li> <li>Exposure to M&amp;A strategy, including opportunity sourcing, commercial diligence, and integration planning.</li> <li>Experience leading small, high-impact teams while influencing broader organizational change.</li></ul>Skills &amp; Attributes<ul> <li>Strategic and analytical thinker with a strong ability to translate insight into actionable plans.</li> <li>Deep understanding of how product, customer, and market dynamics intersect to drive value creation.</li> <li>Confident, collaborative leader who can engage effectively across technical, commercial, and operational functions.</li> <li>Entrepreneurial and growth-minded, with the ability to operate in both strategic and hands-on modes.</li> <li>Excellent executive communication, presentation, and influence skills.</li> <li>Passion for driving meaningful change within a mission-critical industry undergoing transformation.</li></ul>Join ERMCO and TRANSFORM your career! This role is remote within the following states: AZ, FL, GA, IL, KS, NC, NE, SD, TN, TX, WI, and WY.Candidates may reside in or relocate to any of these states.
