Are you ready to take the first step in your civil engineering career with a company that values innovation, collaboration, and professional growth? Timmons Group is looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Civil Project Engineer I candidates for in our Raleigh, NC office's Transportation Design group.Essential Duties and Responsibilities of a successful candidate include but are not limited to:<ul><li>Design horizontal alignments and vertical profiles for roadway widening and improvement projects</li><li>Develop 3D models and plans using AutoDesk Civil 3D and/or Bentley OpenRoads Designer</li><li>Create visualizations for client and public presentations using 3D software</li><li>Prepare detailed plan sheets and complete project submission packages</li><li>Perform roadway and drainage calculations using engineering software and reference materials</li><li>Assist in preparing engineering and construction cost estimates</li><li>Research and utilize open-source GIS data for project planning</li><li>Conduct field observations and data collection to support design discussions</li><li>Stay current with emerging technologies to enhance team capabilities</li><li>Participate in client and contractor meetings to support project delivery</li></ul>Skill/Requirements of a successful candidate include but are not limited to:<ul><li>A bachelor’s or master's degree in civil engineering or a closely related degree with coursework in transportation/traffic preferred</li><li>EIT preferred</li><li>Experience with Bentley OpenRoads Designer and/or AutoDesk Civil 3D (preferred)</li><li>Familiarity with VDOT standards and procedures (preferred)</li></ul>
