The ACCIONA COBRA Joint Venture (ACJV), the design and construct (D&amp;C) consortium, will design and build the Central-West Orana REZ transmission project.</p><p></p><p>The Central-West Orana Renewable Energy Zone (REZ) Transmission Project will build new high-capacity transmission lines, energy hubs and supporting infrastructure to transfer power generated by solar and wind projects to electricity consumers. The new infrastructure is expected to be operational by 2028 and will initially unlock up to 4.5 gigawatts of new network capacity.</p><p></p><p>The project consists of 90km of 500kV overhead transmission lines and 150 km of 330kV transmission lines for generator connections, stretching from Elong Elong in the west through to Barigan Creek in the east, via an energy hub at Merotherie.</p><p></p><p>Our Central-West Orana project is currently seeking dedicated <b>Supervisors</b> across multiple disciplines, including <b>Electrical, Civil, Structural, Cables Termination, and Commissioning</b> to share their expertise within our growing Energy Hubs and Substations team.</p><p></p><p><b>Key Responsibilities</b></p><ul><li>Ensure all construction works meet specifications and relevant standards</li><li>Takes responsibility for the quality of work under their supervision.</li><li>Ensures that all construction works undertaken and completed are in conformance with the specification and relevant standards and Code of Practice</li><li>Checks to ensure whatever actions are required under Hold and Witness Points have been performed prior to commencing work.</li><li>Ensure all workers have received a project specific induction that explains all hazards present on the project and the control measures to be followed before beginning working activities.</li><li>Adopt a zero tolerance to work practices and equipment that may be unsafe or have serious adverse Safety or environmental impact.</li><li>Ensures that project team completes all outstanding defects as a matter of priority.</li><li>Ensures non-conformances are recorded and corrective actions initiated.</li><li>Provides positive leadership to subcontractors, monitors and controls their performance and ensures the quality and standard of workmanship is performed.</li><li>Drives commitment to quality both top down and bottom up.</li><li>Ensures compliance with all ACEREZ D&amp;C management system procedures including Plant Operator Assessments, verifies Daily Checklists, Weekly Checklists and works with Permits where required.</li><li>Provides positive leadership to subcontractors, monitors and controls their performance and ensures the quality and standard of workmanship is performed</li><li>Participates in the preparation of Safe Work Method Statements and JSA cards in conjunction with work crews and ensures that all controls are effectively implemented and regularly reviewed.</li></ul><p></p><div><div><div><div><div><div><div><p style="text-align:inherit;"></p><p style="text-align:left;"><b>Required Skills and Competencies</b></p></div></div></div></div></div></div></div><ul><li>Preferable 5+ years' experience in electrical, civil, structural, cables termination, commissioning or in the management of other relevant trade packages as a supervisor</li><li>Experience working on large scale renewable energy transmission lines, energy hubs and substations or infrastructure style projects</li><li>Demonstrated ability to work effectively with others.</li><li>Presented problem solving / analytical skills.</li><li>Understands specifications and drawings</li><li>Experience in managing subcontractors to ensure compliance with specifications and procedures</li><li>Demonstrated relevant leadership skills.</li><li>Ensuring all relevant regulatory requirements are satisfied.</li><li>Competent in planning and organising work schedules.</li><li>Working knowledge of HS&amp;E requirements and implementation of same</li><li>Self-confident and able to persuade, convince or impress others to gain their commitment and co-operation to a course of action.</li><li>Good at multi-tasking and demonstrates sound judgments, including balancing competing issues.</li><li>Must be able to issue clear directions to construction workers.</li><li>Clear communication – verbal and written.</li></ul><p></p><p><span>Supervisor positions start in our project office in Sydney CBD, with occasional site visits.
