This is a fantastic opportunity to take on real responsibility within a supportive and encouraging business environment, that will provide you with a great foundation for your future career. You will also gain further exposure to the wider Finance teams.Main Tasks and ResponsibilitiesAs part of our commitment to your development, we will be offering a varied and challenging 12-month undergraduate placement. It is a ‘hands-on’ role and you will gain wide-ranging finance exposure.Specifically, you will assist in these areas:Accounting:<ul><li>Monthly internal financial results, close process and month end process.</li><li>Quarterly consolidated financial reporting to parent company.</li><li>JSOX annual certification of effectiveness of financial reporting controls and statutory financial statements.</li><li>Assist with managing an assigned business group (limited complexity) or shared service customer.</li><li>Liaising the auditors (Internals and externals) regarding matters relating to the business group</li></ul>Providing analysis to the finance team to assess actual performance versus forecast and preparing reporting schedules in collaboration with the Financial Planning &amp; Analysis team, Finance team, Manager and Director.Commercial Finance:<ul><li>Assist with reporting requirements.</li><li>Preparing quarterly and annual forecasts.</li><li>Analysing variations against expected results.</li><li>Supporting finance and business teams with insights on key input &amp; output performance indicators.</li><li>You will learn how Finance supports the various business teams in forecasting and analysing actual financial results.</li></ul>Finance System: <ul><li>Support the development of various reports run by new SAP system, S4Hana, SAC</li></ul>Others:<ul><li>Be part of process improvement project within the team, learning and applying process improvement techniques.</li><li>Assist in any project implementations.</li><li>Be responsible for the updating current SOP by capturing and documenting processes and procedures.</li><li>Work with data source providers and technology teams to ensure that key decision data is accurate, automated and timely.</li><li>Assist with development, and implementation of policies and programs that drive best practices.</li></ul>What you bring to the team We’re looking for a candidate who is motivated by delivering great work and the Hitachi vision.
