Providing these services in an effective and efficient manner will ensure that finance reports are accurate and up to date. These functions may include accounting, financial reporting, compliance and SOX processes &amp; procedures. S/he will also be responsible for adhering to the internal control procedures, Sox compliance and adherence to the delegation of authority matrixDuties and Responsibilities: <ul><li>Prepare journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations in support of month-end closing activities for multiple business units, and ensure proper documentation is obtained</li><li>Record Fixed Asset updates and disposals in Oracle/SAP Fixed Asset Module</li><li>Obtaining supporting invoices and documentation for completed Construction in Process projects</li><li>Reconcile sub-ledgers to the general ledger identifying and correcting out of balances, addressing their causes, resolving the possibility of future issues</li><li>Responds to inquiries regarding general ledger balances</li></ul><ul><li>Assist with ad hoc projects and analyses as requested</li><li>Assist with interim and annual audits</li><li>Maintain applicable SOX controls</li><li>Ensure all supporting documentation is in compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley guidelines</li><li>Consistently evaluate areas for process improvement.</li></ul>Key Competencies:<ul><li>Good learning attitude</li><li>Good communication skills</li><li>Compliance and integrity</li><li>Asking questions when in doubt</li></ul><ul><li>Team management</li><li>Good interpersonal skills</li><li>Sound accounting knowledge</li></ul>Qualifications: Education, Experience, Skills, Abilities, License/Certification:Required Qualifications:<ul><li>CA/Inter CA/CMA/Master’s Degree in Accounting and Finance preferably with additional professional qualifications</li><li>1-3 years of relevant work experience in journal accounting</li><li>Experience in manufacturing preferred</li><li>Must possess strong analytical skills</li><li>Competency with Microsoft Office and Advanced Excel functions</li><li>Experience with Oracle/SAP or other ERP accounting systems and fixed asset software</li><li>Experience with Blackline Journal Entries and One Stream Reconciliation a plus</li><li>Strong communication skills, both verbal and written</li><li>Ability to work well with others in fast paced, dynamic environment and with teams in different countries</li></ul>Join the global Xylem team to be a part of innovative technology solutions transforming water usage, conservation, and re-use.
