About the Role: As a full-stack Senior or Staff Software Engineer at IUNU, you will play a foundational role in shaping our long-term architecture while remaining deeply hands-on. You will collaborate across engineering, product, and design to build scalable, reliable systems that power our core platforms, always keeping the experience of our growers in mind. Responsibilities:<ul><li>Design, build, and scale the services, APIs, and front-end applications that power IUNU’s platform and partner interfaces.</li><li>Provide technical leadership and guidance on system architecture, long-term vision, and team best practices across both backend logic and frontend user experience.</li><li>Lead the delivery of high-impact initiatives end-to-end, from requirements gathering to rollout, with a focus on quality and timeliness.</li><li>Work closely with product, design, and cross-functional teams to translate complex horticultural, environmental, and business requirements into robust technical solutions.</li><li>Build robust, fault-tolerant systems capable of processing high-dimension data in distributed environments.</li><li>Drive adoption of best practices across the engineering org, including testing, observability, automation, and CI/CD.</li><li>Mentor and support engineers on the team, raising the technical bar and fostering growth.</li><li>Operate services in production with high availability, leveraging monitoring and observability tools to ensure reliability for our growers.</li><li>Balance hands-on execution with architectural decision-making, ensuring velocity and long-term maintainability.</li></ul> Requirements:<ul><li>Extensive professional software engineering experience, including at least 2 years at a Senior+ level.</li><li>Expert fluency in Typescript and SQL.</li><li>Extensive experience with React, Next.JS, Node.JS, or other modern web frameworks.</li><li>Experience in mobile app development including React Native or other mobile frameworks.</li><li>Demonstrated success designing and leading the delivery of robust, scalable systems from concept to production.</li><li>Expertise in mapping complex real-world logic into efficient data structures and algorithmic models that scale with high-dimension data.</li><li>Proficiency in translating business goals into clear technical scope for non-technical stakeholders.</li><li>Dedication to shipping secure, testable, and maintainable code.</li><li>Extensive experience operating cloud-native infrastructure (containers, storage, networking, deployment) with observability and monitoring tools to ensure high service availability.</li><li>Experience mentoring engineers and raising team standards through best practices.</li><li>Excellent communicator, comfortable collaborating in distributed teams.</li><li>High ownership mindset, bias for action, and ability to thrive in complex problem spaces.</li></ul> Desired:<ul><li>Hands-on experience with the Google Cloud Platform ecosystem.</li><li>Advanced knowledge of PostgreSQL and TimescaleDB.</li><li>Experience with Python in a data pipeline context.</li><li>Experience with language models and building agentic applications.</li></ul> Diversity At IUNU, we’re committed to providing a safe and inclusive environment.
