The ideal candidate brings strong technical expertise in utility-scale solar, excellent judgement, and the ability to lead teams through high-volume and complex operational challenges.This role includes a highly competitive compensation package—base salary, annual bonus, and LTIP—along with full relocation support for candidates transitioning to the region.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Leadership<ul><li>Serve as primary leader for performance, reliability and safety outcomes of the Uvalde sites and surrounding assets.</li><li>Lead, coach and develop a team of field technicians, setting clear expectations, conducting regular check-ins and ensuring team alignment with operational priorities.</li><li>Act as a culture carrier by reinforcing CCR’s safety, communication, and performance standards.</li><li>Own technician scheduling, workload balancing, and ongoing performance management.</li></ul>  Operational Ownership<ul><li>Maintain consistent onsite presence (minimum weekly) to inspect plant conditions, observe technician work, validate safety compliance, and meet with key stakeholders.</li><li>Conduct on-site reviews of maintenance quality, contractor performance, and system reliability.</li><li>Identify and escalate operational risks proactively, ensuring timely mitigation and communication across CCR stakeholders.</li></ul>Operational Planning/Technical Evaluation<ul><li>Oversee daily and weekly field activities to ensure preventative and corrective maintenance is executed safely and effectively.</li><li>Coordinate with Operations Engineering and Asset Management to maximize uptime, performance, and energy output.</li><li>Manage subcontractors, external vendors, and specialty service providers to ensure high-quality execution.</li><li>Review system alarms, field data, IV curves, thermography, and troubleshooting results, guiding technicians to resolution.</li><li>Ensure all work is performed in compliance with CCR’s procedures, manufacturer recommendations, and safety requirements.</li></ul>Safety Leadership<ul><li>Identify safety hazards during site visits and take decisive action to remove or eliminate risks.</li><li>Model and enforce all safety protocols, including PPE usage, LOTO procedures, and electrical safety practices.</li><li>Facilitate safety briefings and ensure technicians maintain required certifications and training (OSHA 30, NFPA 70E).</li><li>Communication &amp; Cross-Functional Partnership.</li><li>Act as the key point of contact for Operations, Asset Management, Engineering, and external stakeholders for all site-related matters.</li><li>Ensure clear and timely communication on outages, risks, schedule impacts, and resource needs.</li><li>Provide root-cause analysis and corrective action plans for recurring issues.</li></ul>Preferred Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:<ul><li>3+ years of experience PV maintenance, including PV DC operations, AC medium voltage systems, network communications and monitoring.</li><li>Demonstrated experience managing teams or leading technicians in a field-based operational environment. NABCEP Certified Installation Professional.</li><li>Experience with operation of SCADA, DAS and UPS systems.</li><li>Skilled in the use of testing equipment and tools such as Thermographic Electrical Inspection, IV Curve Tracing, Meggers, Ground Fault Detection.</li><li>Experience in all aspects of PV maintenance, including DC systems, AC medium voltage systems, and network communications and monitoring.</li><li>Diagnostic capabilities to troubleshoot and correct problems found.</li><li>Knowledge of National Electrical Code and standard design/construction practices.</li><li>Ability to read and understand electrical single-line and three-line diagrams.</li><li>Proficiency with MS Office suite.</li><li>Ability to take direction and complete tasks with minimal oversight.</li><li>Valid Driver’s License.</li><li>OSHA 30 HR Training.</li><li>NFPA 70E Standard for Electrical Safety in workplace.</li><li>Must have the ability to travel, work on-call during off-shift hours and weekends.</li></ul>Physical Requirements/Work Environment:<ul><li>Work is to be performed in the field and in the office.</li><li>Must be able to comply with all safety standards and procedures.
