We’re seeking a technically grounded Product Manager who brings deep experience into vibration analysis, rotating machinery diagnostics, or condition monitoring. This role is perfect for someone who has spent their career understanding how machines behave — and is now ready to drive the next generation of products to deliver comprehensive predictive maintenance solutions to the wind energy industry. Your position as a domain expert is key to solving industry challenges, understanding the needs of our users, and communicating technical ideas clearly and effectively to software developers. Product management experience is a bonus, but we have an excellent product team that can support your development as a product manager. The Role As Product Manager, you will work with the Senior Product Manager to define and drive the roadmap for our wind-turbine monitoring and predictive maintenance SaaS platform. You will combine your domain expertise with a commercial mindset to determine the features, analytics, and user experiences that will deliver the highest value to customers. You will serve as the connector between engineering, commercial teams, and end users — ensuring that our products offer real customer value and empower condition monitoring teams globally to keep their wind turbines operating.Key responsibilities: Product Strategy &amp; Vision <ul><li>Influence the long-term vision for analytics, diagnostics, and optimisation capabilities in our SaaS platform. </li><li>Owning the 12–18-month roadmap refinement and delivery in line with the product strategy. </li><li>Identify unmet customer needs and emerging industry trends in wind turbine health monitoring. </li><li>Assist in building and maintaining a product roadmap grounded in customer value and commercial impact. </li></ul>Customer Discovery &amp; Insight <ul><li>Engage directly with internal and external end users. </li><li>Observe workflows, uncover pain points, and validate assumptions. </li><li>Distil technical problems into clear product opportunities. </li></ul>Defining Requirements &amp; Driving Delivery <ul><li>Translate customer and business needs into high-level requirements, specifications, and success metrics. </li><li>Partner closely with engineering, UX, development teams, and product owners to deliver features from concept through release. </li><li>Make informed trade-off decisions to balance value, cost, technical complexity, and timelines. </li></ul>Technical &amp; Analytical Leadership <ul><li>Bring subject-matter knowledge into product discussions, especially around vibration analysis, fault detection, signal processing, and asset behaviour. </li><li>Work with the Advanced Analytics team to support the evaluation of analytics performance, root cause analysis, and algorithm validation. </li><li>Ensure product decisions are grounded in technical reality and data-driven insight. </li></ul>Commercial Awareness &amp; Go-to-Market Support <ul><li>Support the senior product manager in assessing opportunities based on market size, commercial viability, and competitive landscape. </li><li>Collaborate with the wider product team, sales, and marketing to articulate value propositions and differentiation. </li></ul>Cross-Functional Alignment <ul><li>Ensure consistent communication of roadmap, priorities and risks across engineering, leadership, and commercial teams. </li><li>Facilitate collaboration across functions to deliver cohesive and impactful product releases. </li></ul>Ideally, you’ll have/be: Technical Expertise <ul><li>Strong experience in vibration analysis, rotating machinery diagnostics, signal processing, condition monitoring, or predictive maintenance. </li><li>Wind industry experience is a plus, but not essential. </li><li>Comfortable interpreting the requirements of complex systems and processes required for vibration analysis software systems. </li><li>Comfortable working with hardware specialists to collaborate on cross software/hardware requirements. </li></ul>Product &amp; Commercial Aptitude <ul><li>Natural curiosity about customer needs and how software unlocks value. </li><li>Some exposure to commercial decision-making, customer conversations, or product-like responsibilities. </li><li>Ability to translate technical insights into clear business outcomes. </li></ul>Core Behaviours &amp; Skills <ul><li>Excellent communicator, able to influence without authority. </li><li>Analytical mindset; confident working with data. </li><li>Comfortable with ambiguity; thrives in iterative, agile environments. </li><li>Proactive, self-driven, and eager to learn product management practices. </li></ul>ONYX Insight is a growing technology and engineering organisation in the renewable energy sector.
