These markets include aerospace and defense, factory automation, air and water quality environmental monitoring, electronics design and development, oceanographic research, deepwater oil and gas exploration and production, medical imaging and pharmaceutical research.​We are looking for individuals who thrive on making an impact and want the excitement of being on a team that wins.  Job Description  Essential Duties and Responsibilities:<ul><li>Support or manage the design, planning, construction, installation and maintenance of equipment, machinery and building</li><li>• Supports building space allocation, layout and maintenance</li><li>• Coordinate grounds and parking lot maintenance (lawn mowing, snow plowing, clean-up, etc.) and improvements</li><li>• Plan, budget and schedule facility modifications, including estimates on equipment, labor, materials, and other related costs – Coordinated effort with procurement</li><li>• Inspect building structures and surroundings and coordinate repairs or renovations as needed</li><li>• Review utilities consumption and strive to minimize costs and improve efficiencies</li><li>• Supervise facilities staff and external contractors and assigns work as needed</li><li>• Ensure the facility is operational each day and safety and security issues are promptly addressed</li><li>• Keep records of building inspections and repairs and regulatory records</li><li>• Address facility-related emergency issues and coordinate recovery efforts as required; may not be during normal working hours</li><li>• Follow all company policies</li><li>• TMS crane and hoist safety instructor</li><li>• Confined space and forklift safety instructor</li><li>• Work closely with EH&amp;S manager to ensure compliance</li><li>• Ensure waste is properly handled and stored</li><li>Responsible for Corporate and Governmental Reports on EHS, Incidents, Carbon Accounting among other regular reports.</li><li>Comply with of all company safety policies</li><li>Respond to emergency situations, such as power failure, plumbing, heating, or vandalism incidents</li><li>• Install, troubleshoot, repair and maintain production and facility equipment</li><li>• Perform daily onsite inspection of the facility (outside and within the building) to ensure everything is in working order prior to the start of the workday</li><li>• Evaluate, repair and maintain plumbing, electrical and HVAC systems in the building</li><li>• Minor carpentry, painting repairs to walls and cleaning duties work as needed</li><li>• Repair malfunctioning equipment units and broken structures</li><li>• Perform monthly inspections of fire extinguishers, exit signs, eye wash stations and other equipment</li><li>• Light landscaping and grounds keeping work as needed</li><li>• Office furniture and cubical re-configurations</li><li>• Maintain communication and working relationship with all employees within the company</li><li>Responsible for the Reception / Lobby area, including use of multi-line phone system</li><li>• Handle internal/external customer calls with enthusiasm and a sense of urgency</li><li>• Acknowledge visitors immediately upon arrival, contact host of visitor via phone, page, and email</li><li>• Pre-screen all visitors upon receiving communication from the Host. All foreign visitors require a completed and approved Foreign Visitor or Foreign Teledyne Employee visitor form.</li><li>• Responsible to ensure all visitors complete the required check-in process including the Visitor Log, Identification and badging</li><li>• Responsible for making various announcements over the PA system in a pleasant manner</li><li>• Ability to act quickly and think calmly in urgent situations that may present; contacting First Responders or 911</li><li>• Provide feedback to Management and/or Operations regarding any prevalent customer concerns</li><li>• Sort/ distribute all incoming / outgoing mail, and packages. Use of Postage Machine</li><li>• Perform general administrative duties as requested by department managers</li><li>• Escort Visitors to their designated area/conference room, if necessary</li></ul>Education and Experience:<ul><li>BS in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Chemical or Industrial)</li><li>Associate’s, bachelor’s degree or technical certification in facilities maintenance, electrical, HVAC</li><li>• 5+ years’ experience in facilities maintenance and building management with a working knowledge of electrical, mechanical and HVAC systems</li><li>• 2-5+ years supervisory experience personnel and building management</li><li>• A valid state of Massachusetts driver's license</li><li>• Experience in managing, motivating, training and scheduling staffing assignments and work loads</li><li>• Computer skills including Microsoft Office, ERP systems and CAD applications for facility layout work</li><li>Excellent communication skills both verbal and written, with strong interpersonal skills.</li></ul>Job Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:<ul><li>Strong organizational, analytical and communication skills</li><li>Strong analytic and technical abilities</li><li>• Knowledge of building construction, carpentry and general maintenance requirements</li><li>• Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage with multiple levels within the organization</li><li>• Attention to Detail</li><li>• Ability to multi-task, prioritize in a fast-paced environment</li><li>• Ability to identify potential issues before they occur and to resolve issues as quickly as possible</li><li>• Ability to work nights and weekends when necessary</li><li>Ability to adapt to change and maintain a positive attitude</li></ul>Supervisory Responsibilities:<ul><li>Manages the coordination of activities, through direct reports or outside contractors</li><li>• Motivate and coordinate employee activities; address disciplinary issues as necessary</li></ul>Training Requirements:<ul><li>IFS training</li><li>HSE/Quality Overview</li><li>Hazardous Communications</li><li>Forklift and Hoisting training and certification</li></ul>  Teledyne and all of our employees are committed to conducting business with the highest ethical standards.
