These markets include aerospace and defense, factory automation, air and water quality environmental monitoring, electronics design and development, oceanographic research, deepwater oil and gas exploration and production, medical imaging and pharmaceutical research.​We are looking for individuals who thrive on making an impact and want the excitement of being on a team that wins.  Job Description  Essential Duties and Responsibilities:<ul><li>Determine inspection sample sizes and verify incoming material by using appropriate methods (measuring dimensions, testing functionality, comparing to specifications etc.)</li><li>Documents inspection results by completing reports and logs; summarizing re-work and waste; inputting data into quality database and/or ERP system</li><li>Maintain inspection measurement and test tools so that results are not compromised</li><li>Follow defined standards and procedures and complying with legal regulations</li><li>Prepare and submit reports to the quality manager</li><li>Issue non-conformance reports as needed and return to vendor when required</li><li>Maintain Quality related data such as Supplier Performance log and RMA log</li><li>Provide feedback to the production team on issues seen during incoming inspections and highlight variances in material availability</li><li>Ensure product is received properly per approved processes and made available to end users in a timely manner</li><li>Ability to frequently carry up to 50lbs.</li><li>Ability to multitask and meet strict deadlines</li><li>Kitting of manufacturing orders to the production floor in a timely and accurate manner</li><li>Picking of parts for customer orders and forwarding to shipping department</li><li>Ensure accuracy of inventory by continuously monitoring stock physical status being in accordance with ERP data and being a key participant in the annual Physical Inventory</li><li>Putting incoming material away in proper locations</li><li>Review component shortages and bring parts to appropriate area upon receipt</li><li>Support Receiving, Return to Stock and de-kit material actions</li><li>Maintain inventory material locations</li><li>Support the maintenance of FIFO inventory control</li><li>Ensure accuracy of inventory by continuously monitoring stock status being in accordance with ERP data</li><li>Comply with of all company safety policies</li></ul>Education and Experience:<ul><li>BS in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Chemical or Industrial)</li><li>High School Degree or equivalent</li><li>Working knowledge of inspection techniques and inspection tools, gauges &amp; equipment</li><li>Basic understanding of manufacturing ERP systems</li><li>2 - 4 years inventory experience preferably in a manufacturing environment</li><li>Knowledge of MRP, including backflushing and the use of phantoms in BOM’s</li></ul>Job Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:<ul><li>Strong organizational, analytical and communication skills</li><li>Ability to work with changing demands in a fast-paced environment</li><li>Thorough understanding of the ERP system and how inventory transactions flow through to ensure inventory accuracy  </li><li>A keen eye for detail and a results-driven approach</li><li>Able to interpret technical drawings and requirements</li><li>Knowledge of quality systems and techniques including auditing, process control, and inspection methods</li><li>ERP Experience</li><li>Excellent communication skills both verbal ad written, wih strong interpersonal skills.</li><li>Computer Experience required including a working knowledge of MSOffice programs, i.e., Word, Excel, Outlook</li><li>Knowledge of continuous improvement</li><li>Ability to adapt to change and maintain a positive attitude</li></ul>Supervisory Responsibilities:<ul><li>None</li></ul>Training Requirements:<ul><li>IFS training</li><li>HSE/Quality Overview</li><li>Material handling, ESD, O-rings, Age Control</li><li>Teledyne Ethics/Harassment</li><li>Hazardous Communications</li></ul>Personal Protective Equipment:<ul><li>In accordance with Teledyne Marine Systems safety policies</li><li>Hard Hats required in designated areas</li><li>The use of Safety Glasses is required throughout all production areas of the facility</li><li>Safety shoes as required per TMS policy</li></ul>Work Environment:<ul><li>Operations Area, Production, Service, Shipments</li><li>Stockroom and Warehouse</li><li>Periodic supplier onsite inspection may be required.</li></ul>  Teledyne and all of our employees are committed to conducting business with the highest ethical standards.
