Agricultural machine experience is also a plus.<ul><li>Advanced understanding of electrical circuits (including VFD’s, PLC’s, photo-eyes, encoders) and mechanical systems (including pneumatic actuators, motors, gear boxes, chain drives).</li><li>Proficiency in reading, interpreting and explaining technical drawings and schematics </li><li>Excellent problem-solving and methodical troubleshooting skills </li><li> Proactive communication with home office Remote Support staff.</li><li> Ability to clearly explain the root cause of an issue and the corrective action to the customer.</li><li>Train machine operators (both internally and externally) on basic equipment setup and operation.</li><li>Effective time management skills and the ability to work unsupervised at customer locations.</li></ul></li></ul>This position requires consistent travel<ul><li> A typical month has a minimum of 3 weeks of travel, usually Monday to Friday. This travel could be anywhere in the US or Canada, especially during the first year as training opportunities arrive.</li><li> Travel is typically within the work week, but occasional weekend work/travel will be required based on customer requirements and project location. Trips will not extend more than 2 weeks.</li><li> As the service territory develops, and the Technician is trained to the point of being able to work alone, the goal is to increase local service work to the territory and reduce extended travel requirements.</li><li>Valid driver's license and able to travel to Canada if needed.
