In this role, you will be responsible for sourcing and procuring goods and services—including raw materials, equipment, tools, parts, and supplies—while ensuring quality, cost-effectiveness, and timely delivery.</p><h2>Responsibilities</h2><ul> <li>Review requisitions, production schedules, and MRP reports to determine purchasing needs.</li> <li>Communicate with suppliers to obtain information on pricing, availability, and delivery timelines.</li> <li>Evaluate and select products through testing, observation, or examination.</li> <li>Prepare and issue purchase orders and bid requests.</li> <li>Maintain inventory levels to support production schedules and meet financial targets.</li> <li>Source production components from approved vendors and foster strong supplier relationships.</li> <li>Review bid proposals and negotiate contracts within budgetary and authority guidelines.</li> <li>Maintain accurate procurement records, including purchases, costs, delivery performance, and inventory data.</li> <li>Collaborate with quality control and suppliers to resolve issues with defective or non-compliant goods or services.</li> <li>Approve invoices for payment and expedite deliveries as needed.</li></ul><h2>Qualifications</h2><ul> <li>Bachelor’s degree is preferred but not required (Supply Chain Management, Business, or a related field a plus). </li> <li>Minimum of 5 years of experience in a purchasing role, or an equivalent combination of education and experience (including military experience).</li> <li>Strong negotiation, communication, and organizational skills.</li> <li>Ability to analyze data, manage multiple priorities, and maintain attention to detail.</li></ul><p><strong>Join ERMCO and TRANSFORM your career.</strong></p>
