Our trucks are designed to perform under the toughest conditions.<h1>Safety Coordinator</h1>Implement and manage safety programs and procedures that will reduce injuries and their associated costs, as well as meet all applicable local, state, and federal regulations.<h2>YOUR IMPACT</h2><ul><li>Conduct safety audits of facilities to pinpoint unsafe working conditions, behaviors and practices and develop sound recommendations for corrections</li><li>Investigate injury reports and follow-up to ensure corrective action is taken</li><li>Maintain all required documentation for Oshkosh Corporation’s DOT program</li><li>Coordinate industrial hygiene testing and implement corrective action, if required</li><li>Oversee safety-related training that is required to remain in compliance with all applicable regulation</li><li>Update management on the status of Oshkosh’s safety program through monthly and quarterly reports</li><li>Strengthen and lead the Company’s ergonomics program</li><li>Coordinate the services of insurance carriers and outside consulting personnel</li><li>Organize, plan, and steer the Safety Representative Program to ensure that Oshkosh employees are provided with a safe workplace</li><li>Work closely with our Health Services Manager on worker’s compensation concerns</li><li>Maintain an active role on our Safety Implementation Team</li><li>Coordinate with manufacturing, engineering, etc., on the design and construction of new equipment, facilities and processes to insure safe design</li><li>Develop and recommend general accident prevention programs to include specific protective procedures and devices</li></ul><h2>MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS</h2><ul><li>Bachelor’s degree in Safety or related field OR an equivalent combination of education and experience</li><li>Internship experience</li></ul><h2>STANDOUT QUALIFICATIONS</h2><ul><li>Work experience in industry</li><li>Must be knowledgeable with applicable safety regulations.</li><li>Must possess excellent communication and organizational skills</li><li>Must possess computer skill</li></ul>WHY PIERCE? Moving the future forward is our priority and this includes your future.
